Great option when money is tight but bunny still gotta eat! Hay is life! Always pleased with the freshness and green sometimes a little brown but it's value hay. I handle my Timothy hay allergy a bit better with this one but maybe it depends on the season.

Wow! This is my first time buying from this brand, Small Pet Select. That being said, I am very pleased!! So much hay for a great price, especially when you compare prices to other companies that sell the same amount of hay. THIS hay is fresh, green, soft, and smells lovely. My boy loves it and didn’t ignore it for a second upon giving it to him within his enclosure! He also loves how there isn’t too many stalks in this product, unlike the other brand I was constantly buying from before… this hay is “grassier” and thus my pet is more eager to eat this. Thank you so much!

The quality has become absolutely unacceptable. I've ordered direct from the supplier and on amazon and the quality did not make a difference the last six orders as they have all been terrible. This was my most recent purchase, I am now having to air out the room I opened the hay box in as we speak as there is so much dust and dirt and grime in the box. All you can smell is dirt, not fresh hay. A little bit of brown hay ok sure that is fine, but this??? You can't even hardly find nor seperate the green pieces of hay from the entangled balls of straight up garbage! It is also a very bad respiratory irritant to not only humans, but to our pet's that is assuming they would even want to eat anything from this box. Every time this happens it actually causes my rabbit to stop eating her hay, she has no problems with the second cut boxes. She actually use to love the value choice boxes until they became what they are in the last year or so. My bunny also has regular veterinary check ups and she eats' hay just fine when the quality is good, so it's not a health issue either. However, this hay could certainly cause one or their furry family member to become ill. Recently what looks like pieces of what I can only describe to be "corn silk" like hay has been being put into the boxes as well. Again, this is not something my bunny would even touch. I am absolutely disgusted by what I found in the box today, in addition to three insects, and would never feed anything pictured to my bunny. 0/10 Small Pet Select, get your stuff together and listen to the complaints, and may the price of this "value hay" match, I honestly would not even pay $6.00 for this quality!

Great product! Great brand!! The box comes PACKED!! First time I bought it I received a box with beautiful thick green strands of Timothy hay. Also, I could not see small pieces of hay and I had not realized any hay dust excess that needed to be sifted. The second time I purchased this item it was not the same quality, which is understandable but unfortunately my box came with a lot of brown hay. I contacted the brand and they were awesome! Although this product is not included on their 100% satisfaction guarantee they still contacted the warehouse responsible for my order and asked them to look for a better box for me.

You definitely get what you pay for! The hay itself varies in quality, from small brown stringy pieces to large hard pieces. I wouldn't say this Is a bad product, as it is a value choice, meaning you will likely get "left overs" from their premium boxes. My four guinea pigs are loving the hay and eat it right up, which I was worried about with the variation of grasses. My biggest complaint would have to be the dust content. It is soooo dusty and leaves a trail of tiny hay bits everywhere, making it super messy when it comes to pulling the hay out of the box. Overall, it's a good choice if you're on a budget and don't have picky pets. If it were not for the dust problem, I would continue buying this product, but my fiance and I both struggle with breathing.

We are hoomans to a very picky bun, no doubt due to his background prior to being rescued by the local SPCA (a 4H hoarding case where he had no access to space, crammed into a wire cage with other rabbits, and dirty hay). We tried all types of Timothy Hay, even Oxbow, but it wasn't fresh and Bun-Bun wasn't going to be tricked. Nope, none of that. Fast forward to Small Pet Select: we found them online after conducting research and went with the 2nd cutting Timothy Hay. When it arrived, we were pleased to see that it was still green, fresh, and didn't have a lot of dust. Sometimes with the other brands, the leaves are almost powdered. Not in this case, Bun-Bun was busy jumping into the box just to get at the Timothy Hay. Score! We have never had any issues with our orders, love this company that not only partners with local farmers, but also ensures their product is fresh, clean, and picked/stored right to support the ongoing diets of our furry friends. Great value for the money, excellent Timothy Hay that is fresh and crunchy, delivery through Amazon is quick and rated 10 stars by Bun-Bun! Thank you for being there for us!

Green stemmed 2nd cut hay. Cant tell the difference between the value and non value. Piggies love it

I have used this product in the passed and have always loved the high standard and high grade of hay. My Guinea pigs loved it that much they barely left any. Now for the last 2 boxes I've bought they have been full of durt which is dangerous as Guinea pigs to inhale. I apologise for leaving this review but I cannot buy your hay in this condition.
