How do you know what size to purchase?

Shall I buy small if hand measures 7 3/4 from tip of the middle finger to the base of the palm?

My experience is with Large vs. X-Large. Distance from finger to palm is 7-1/2" with a measurement of 4" across hand. Largefit, however was skin-tight and required finger by finger removal. When skin was wet or when gloves got wet, removal became a chore. Reordered a size larger which solved problem. Remember, cowhide shrinks after being wet and dried! I measured thedistance across a Large vs. X-Large actual glove and found it to be 4-1/2" vs. 5."(New pair) Sizing problem is created by Mfr.located in Bangladesh. They should provide a comparable Sizing Chart if they want to sell in U.S.A.!

Can these be used to work with barbed wire art ?

I used an identical pair several years ago to wrap clay sculptures in old rusted barbed wire. I was able to avoid scrapes and scratches but I also had a respect of the wire. The gloves are touch leather but you still have to be careful. Over the years I have completely worn the gloves out and just replaced them. Hope that helps.

I have but one hand so my question is can i buy two sets of only left hand gloves? 4 each lift only.

That's a question you need to ask the China vendor. I would suspect not.
