Have only had this colander for a short time but already it is a staple in my kitchen. I am getting on in years so I really appreciated that the product was not over packaged but rather was appropriately packaged. The first impression is one of a sturdy, robust colander. Almost playfully I expanded and collapsed the colander with ease and was impressed by the "snap" into each position. After running the colander through the dishwasher, I was ready for dinner and cooked up some pasta. Until I poured pasta into the colander, I had not noticed the incredibly useful sturdy tab across from the handle. It greatly simplifies every use for the colander: draining, rinsing, separating and fluffing. Once collapsed, the colander is easily stored close at hand, ready for the next epicurian delight. This colander is excellent quality with thick, strong silicone and a sturdy handle though it is lightweight which makes it easy to hold with one hand. It holds up perfectly in the dishwasher. It drains well. And the best part is that it comes in white!
