Brother ADS-3300W Wireless, High-Speed Desktop Scanner | 2.8-inch Touchscreen | Scans Up to 40ppm1

Before trying the Brother ADS-3300W, I had ordered a Ricoh (formerly Fujitsu) ScanSnap iX 1600 and then an Epson Workforce ES-580W. The software drivers and utilities for both the Ricoh and Epson machines would not unpack and install properly on my brand new PC running a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro, and in each case the support staff for the manufacturers could not offer a solution. Gnashed my teeth that neither product would set up properly on the current version of the Windows OS. So after many hours of frustration, both were returned, and I crossed my fingers and ordered the Brother. I am so glad that I did. The Brother software installed with no issues at all, and I was able to connect the scanner within minutes. It has all the speed I could ever want, and the feature set is amazing. Be sure to download AND view the 250+ page manual for this machine to learn all the tips and tricks. I find the interface in the Brother software to be very logical and user friendly. Delighted to have TWAIN and OCR capability, and the ability to connect the scanner in so many different network and direct methods. I have a Brother color laser printer that has given me nearly 20 years of trouble free daily duty, I should have known all along that Brother would be my best option for a duplex document scanner. Save yourself the pain that I endured before buying the ADS-3300W, and just order this great product. HIGHLY recommended!

This is perfect! It does not take up too much space in my small work area. I use it to scan documents into patient records and the quality of the images is excellent. I have not run into any tech issues as of yet which is unheard of for me. WOULD 100% BUY AGAIN & RECOMMEND.

Was easy to connect to computer. Works well for scanning documents and cards for storing on computer. Small footprint so it does not require a large space. Got this as a replacement for a large mulitfunction printer that was not working well for scanning. This is a trusted brand that I have had many different types of machines from.

Fast scanning device that is easy to transfer to the computer or a flash drive. It would be nice if you could name the item when scanning to a flash drive.

I've had one at this job and the last job. I scan everything in for absolute transparency in a public non-profit. I did much more scanning of large files at the last job and had to replace the rollers after 6 months. Small price to pay for the front and back scanning. Sometimes have difficulty with thinner paper like paper used in duplicates, but easily fixed and usually just when picking it up to feed. It's very reliable and get automatic updates, so always available. Easy to troubleshoot if it doesn't scan. Good for scanning receipts and docs of all kinds. Love that I can save directly to my computer files where I need them and can drag/drop those files to Quickbooks. Saves as a PDF and perfect for saving digitally. Makes my job so much easier and transparency is a must.

I had scansnap, then they got predatory and stopped supporting their devices to mandate a subscription service. So I went looking for an alternative. When it works it scans quickly and in good quality. However, I think I have lost maybe 4-10 hours on support issues. Simply updating the device is a nightmare. Getting it to connect wirelessly took hours. Support wastes your time and seems to know extremely little about the product. I do not think there is a quality scanner out there. I will not be buying anything brother ever again. The support materials are useless, the support people are difficult to access and do not have sufficient knowledge of the products to provide meaningful or quick support. I wish I could get back all the anger and time that has been wasted on this.

The scanner works very well with my Windows 11 desktop computer. It uses its own iPrint & Scan software, and is compact, fast, and quiet. Setup was easy, but I haven't quite figured out how to save commonly-used configurations so button pressing can be minimized. The only other con is that it takes a long pause while connecting to the program when it starts a new job. I am very pleased with it. I have a multi-use printer/copier/scanner/fax, but I enjoy having a dedicated scanner.
