I just have to say WOW!! I am so so happy with this purchase! I am someone who LOVES board games but most of the time, I never have someone to play with. I have heard of Hunt A Killer but the price?? Heck no. So I looked up good alternatives that are more wallet friendly and Cryptic Killers was the first to pop up. This game was SO AMAZING! I love that it was so easy to understand and get started, plus the actual case gives you so many resources for hints and help. They even make websites for the police detectives to share important case updates with you as you move along in solving. I absolutely loved the ease with which I could play as well as the hints page, in case I wanted to double check something or just got stuck. It took me about an hour and a half to complete this case and it was so worth it! Overall, the appearance and packaging is fantastic, the gameplay itself is amazing and super readable, and the best part is that you can play solo! I already bought the two bundles currently out on Amazon and cannot wait to get started. Thank you Cryptic Killers for making such an amazing game!

Fun case! Helpful directions/guidance without giving away anything. Definitely an improved version from their earlier case studies; the suspects and documents are easier to follow and more straightforward. Definitely recommend—we were able to finish it with two people in a few hours.

I bought this game for my birthday and played it with my husband. It is a great mystery, quite challenging, unexpected twists and we definitely needed the suggested timeframe. I probably wouldn't play it with a big group as there is a lot of evidence to read but it is a perfect game for two. We particulary enjoyed that every piece of evidence and clues were explained at the end and there were definitely a few clues that we didn't even recognize. We will definitely order another mystery.

Ordered this for something to do when it rains. I'm not a big jigsaw puzzle person, but I like these kinds of mysteries. Trying to piece everything together and figure things out was pretty fun. I enjoyed going through all the clues and exclude suspects, but I do wish that it was a little more difficult and maybe segmented more. You get get a bunch of clues to go through at once then you exclude people, then you get a second group of clues and (hopefully) find your perpetrator. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had to figure out some of the clues myself, whether they were in more (smaller) envelopes within the major parts themselves or search on the website for them. Overall, I would recommend this if you have a hour or so to kill. This comes with 3 different mysteries and I have (at this time) only done one. I did the 1st part then later finished the game. Pretty sure I finished it in under an hour.

We have ordered several of these kits and have loved all of them. Great for small groups and they usually take us a few hours.

Such a well-thought-out game. We had a great time playing it as a family. It's a testament to the game-makers that we really had to study the evidence to connect the dots. I think I read the witness statements three times as we discussed our case theories. So much fun. We'll be trying more like this.

This is our 2nd Cryptic Killers case and it was such a fun case! Having to look through all the documents and reading everything to piece the story together is such a challenge, but we thought it was worth it once we figure out how much of the story we got right!

These are fun and well thought out. Have bought 3 now. Great for games nights with friends. Make sure you have a few hours to spare though. They're not easy.
