Great little replacement coffee maker
My larger keurig bit the dust and I was looking for something smaller but that was simple enough for my elderly father to use. Being pink, it also blended in with my kitchen. Because the water reservoir is in the back, it is not as wide as my last single serve coffee maker which is great because it opens up extra room on the counter. It comes with one insert to use when you want to use k-cups and 2 inserts if you want to use ground coffee (and they even give you a scoop to fill them). I think it takes just a little longer to perk but what I like is that it keeps 3 times when it's done so you know it's finished. If you remove the botton plate you can fit a standard stainless steel coffee to go cup in it but nothing bigger than that. I believe it makes 8, 10, and 12 oz. cups of coffee. Im very happy with it. After dad got over the initial shock of a new coffee maker, he had no problem using it. He just had to get used to the water going in the back. Now he's a pro after only a few days.

Super hot cup of coffee!
If you like hot coffee, this is the unit for you. I am astounded how hot a cup of coffee this thing makes. I usually enjoy a splash of creamer in my coffee and even after pouring cold creamer in my cup, the coffee is still quite hot. This unit has settings for 6, 8 or 10oz brews. I find that I don't get quite that full amount in my cup. This could be caused by the retention of liquid in the k-cup itself. However, I do get a consistent amount of coffee for each brew volume selected. I enjoy getting a 14oz cup of coffee from my darker roast k-cups. The nice thing about this unit is that I can select an 8oz cup and let it brew. Then once complete I can cycle the power and then select a 6oz brew to get my 14oz cup. What is nice is that I don't have to lift the lid on the k-cup itself between the two brew cycles. The 50oz reservoir is easy to fill. I like that I don't have to remove the tank from the unit to fill it. Simply removing the lid allows for the tank to be easily filled. I am using distilled water in my unit because my water is moderately hard. Harder water can destroy the boiler and supply lines in devices like this very quickly. So, if your water is even somewhat hard, I would suggest using distilled or bottled drinking water to ensure the longevity of your unit. The coffee maker almost immediately starts dispensing coffee once you hit the brew button. Then entire brew time takes about 1 to 2 minutes depending on the brew volume selected. One thing to be aware of with this unit is that there is a size limitation to the cup that can be used. Tall travel mugs will not fit under this unit at all. You will have to brew into a standard size cup and transfer it to your travel mug. Additionally, if you have large diameter cups, they might not fit under the unit very well. I have some pretty large diameter cups, but only the largest of the large wouldn't fit under the unit. Because this unit makes such a hot cup of coffee, it billows out a large amount of steam when brewing. This steam travels up the control panel and condenses a bit. I was initially worried that this steam condensation might cause problems with the control panel. However, after two months, I haven't had any issues. Besides k-cups, you can also brew your own ground coffee in the included k-cup adapter. This is a nice feature and works quite well. The only drawback to using the k-cup adapter is cleaning it out. Even after dumping most of the grounds in the trash, you are going to have to rinse some grounds down the drain cleaning the adapter out. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Mecity Coffee Maker. I think if you are looking to get a k-cup compatible machine, you should give the Mecity some serious consideration.

My first Mecity Coffee Maker lasted more than 4 years.
I bought 2 of these same coffee pots over 4 years ago. I wanted to have a spare coffee pot in storage in case the first coffee pot broke. So, the first coffee pot broke after more than 4 years, and I took the spare one out of storage. Now I am ordering a third one to keep as a spare. These coffee pots work perfectly. You do need to get in the habit of looking at the reservoir to make sure there is adequate water. But you would do that for any coffeepot in this price range. My husband always uses the 10-ounce brew, sometimes it seems to be a little more or less than 10 ounces. I use the 8 ounce in the morning and during the day I make expresso with the 6-ounce brew to then poor over ice. So yes, I am purchasing it again, it is a very well-made product.

Very no frills but so far so good
Doesn’t signal in any way when water level too low to make a full cup. Otherwise it works well and coffee is really hot!

Perfection
Wanted something good for a small space, simple, and not too pricey. This delivered in all three categories. -The water storage gives me more cups per fill than our old Bunn did. -The drip tray is removable to get a little extra height for taller cups (and easy cleaning), but you're not getting a travel mug under there unless you hold it at an angle. Honestly, not really a problem as it brews rather quickly. -The noise level is surprisingly quieter than I expected. It also beeps when done. -The control panel is simple with no fuss. If you want something you can pre-set or have a bunch of options, this isn't for you. In our case, this was exactly the simple kind of display and set-up we were looking for. It doesn't have as many size options as some others, but it's also just super easy to hit the brew button for a second time. You can make any combo size you need, really. 6, 8, and 10 oz is really all you need. -Also, a feature I didn't know until I read the booklet is you can hit the brew button again at any time and it will stop. -All the buttons will flash if you're out of water. Or only the one will flash when it's time to clean the machine. A process that is super easy unto itself. Again, super simple control panel. -There's an auto shut-off on it as well. And because its not sitting there on the whole time trying to keep water warm, it's also energy efficient. This was exactly what we were looking for. It gets the job done, and we're very happy with the purchase.

I love it. Better flavor than several other pod makers I have used.
I used it a month now and totally love this. It's way better than the big name brand as far as the flavor from pods because it heats up the water better, which gives more flavor. Today I finally tried real coffee, putting in 3 level spoons and using the largest cup size. Very good flavor and it was easy. They sent the measure spoon with my pot. It does shut itself off, but takes a few minutes to do that. Easy to refill the reservoir. It does drip a bit after I remove the cup. I hope it lasts a long time, but for the first time every I bought the Amazon insurance for 3 years, just in case...

I found me a keeper and it was on sale.
I have gone through two K cup coffee machines in the last month. One was a simple one like this and made nice hot coffee like this. Unfortunately that one took from 80 seconds to 300 seconds to make a cup of coffee depending on the size and it was inaccurate by 2 oz per cup. This one makes nice hot coffee in about 1 min 20seoncds. Temp for 167 to 169F in the cup, and 194F our of the machine (cup cools it down from room temperature). This is key in having i nice hot cup of coffee. Once you press the power button (which is touch sensitive as well as all the buttons) it start brewing right away at a slower pace compared to others. But I like this because you get a stronger better tasting cup of coffee. I like strong coffee and this is just about there (I only use bold coffees like Starbucks Italian & Keurig Sumatra). The reason why I say almost there is this machine actually pours 1oz more of coffee. So 6oz is 7oz, 8oz is 9oz and 10oz is 11oz. For most people this won't be an issue at all. For me it's only a small issue because it makes hotter coffee than my Keurig, and Ninja Duel Brew Pro. I know why did I buy another machine then. I like to change pots just like my wife likes to change curtains, throw pillows etc. It could be the extra ounce is because of the left over in the heater element. This machine doesn't end by blowing air out and the end of the cycle like others do. The bottom line. if you want a really nice looking coffee machine that brews a hot nice cup of coffee in just the right amount of time, then you can't go wrong. Don't let price fool you. You get what you pay for and this one gives you way more for the price of the machine. If you can wait, just ad it to your wish list. I goes on sale from time to time. One last note. It comes with two adapters to use for coffee or tea. Both which hold a fairly good amount of either. Update 9/1/23 I used the regular grind coffee filter and adopter and this holds a lot of coffee grinds. This is the first K cup machine where I could use regular grinds and make a strong cup of coffee. In the photo I added it shows the size of a K cup and the filter. Realize that depending on the k cup you could have from half of the k cup size filled with coffee to about 7/8. They are never full. Compare this filter to any other and you will see it's larger than anything else. So if you only want a k cup every once in awhile and prefer ground coffee this is the machine for you. I am amazed how well this machine is performing compared to all my branded machines. A true winner in my book.

Cute, inexpensive but has a few have-to-knows
I've been using my new coffeemaker for about 2 weeks now. I like it a lot. It's easy to use and I really like the removable water tank. It's slim and fits on that tiny counter next to my stove and I even bought a slim k-cup holder that sits along side it. I think it's a decent little coffeemaker for the price but here are the things that should be stated for others considering buying it: 1) I wish it came in more colors. I only saw pink and my kitchen isn't pink 2) On the front to make a selection in ounces, there are three cups with varying amounts of liquid in them. I had to look in the book to see how many ounces each one made and then I actually used a sharpe to put the numbers on them because when I need coffee, I have no brain. You can make 6, 8 and 10 oz drinks. I REALLY wish it came with 12 oz since most of my mugs are huge size. So I often will make a 8 and 6 which will fill my Sunwill coffee tumbler (using the same k-cup which is just fine). 3) Speaking of my Sunwill coffee tumbler, I have like 6 of these and it's what I use on work days. Unfortunately even if you remove the little riser insert, the Sunwill tumbler will not fit under the drip nozel. So...I have to use a large Pyrex measuring cup to dispense the coffee into and then pour it into my tumbler. And the area where the measuring cup goes for dispensing is pretty narrow so that doesn't even really fit well. I might have to go buy a special measuring cup. This is probably my biggest complaint. The Sunwill tumblers are not tall and I think a pretty standard size for coffee mugs so that they don't fit feels weird to me. And most mugs are too fat to fit in the narrow spot for dispensing. It's not a huge deal and I've found a work around but just wanted to put it out there. 4) You know the little hole where you put the k-cup? In this coffee machine, that little pieces comes out - maybe so you can wash it. That's fine but be aware that it's just a tiny bit tricky to get it back JUST RIGHT and it slips around a bit sometimes. And if you don't seat it properly, you're screwed because you'll put your k-cup in there and not be aware it's not seated right and the next time you brew, it'll make a huge mess and only brew about 4 oz of liquid. And you can't get it to work properly until you clean it all out (which is not easy) and seat that insert properly. This has happened 2x to me and ended up wasting those k-cups.
