Best Litter I've Found So Far
Finding a good litter is a constant battle for cat owners, but I think I am finally done searching. For our one-cat household, this has been the best litter we've found BY FAR. The clumping is phenomenal and is SO much better than any other litter my cat has ever used. This litter forms very hard, cohesive clumps that do not break apart, even with force, and are very easy to sift. No bits of clumps falling off or clumps breaking apart and getting mixed back in like with clay litter, so this litter stays clean. I find that it masks the smell well and there are no urine or feces odors near my cat's box (though it does have a very subtle wet corn smell while you're scooping that goes away once the clumps are removed). I have yet to see any dust coming out of the bag when I pour it in, which is a huge plus, as even most of the "dust-free" ones are not even close to being dust-free. I recommend scooping daily or every other day (well, you should anyway) because as more urine is added, the clumps become bigger and harder, and it might make it difficult for your cat to find loose litter to cover their waste until the clumps are removed. My only complaint, which doesn't change my rating, is that it doesn't last as long as other ones and is a bit pricey per bag. I think the fact that it runs out quickly is due to how well it clumps, but I find that it needs to be changed after about 3 weeks. As a funny side note, my cat has made some interesting "sculptures" with this litter. Maybe it's just me/my sense of humor, but some of the formations I have scooped out have actually made me laugh out loud. I attached pictures of some of the funny ones, like the dinosaur and the sad person looking down.

Large Grain Best for Long-Haired Cats
This is the only litter that works for my two giant, long-haired Maine Coon boys. However, I recommend the Large Grain, not Mixed or Small, for long-haired cats, and Small Grain for short-haired cats. I have been using cassava-based litter for almost 7 years, and back then it was out under the label "Garfield". -- TLDR All Grain Sizes: PRO - Fast clumping; Great odor control; Light color to track some health concerns; Long-lasting between changes; Non-toxic; Zero dust. Large Grain: PRO - Minimal tracking; No clumping/cementing in long fur. Small Grain: PRO - Fully coats stool for best odor control; Lasts longest between changes. CON - Poor tracking; Clumps/cements in long fur. Mixed Grain: CON - Most difficult to sift/keep clean (requires multiple tools / wastes more clean litter). -- Small grain gets cemented into long fur, and is nearly impossible for my cats to remove themselves and requires more meticulous grooming. Large grain is perfect for long-haired cat breeds because the granules are big enough that they don't get stuck in their fur at all, and can't even make their way in their toe beans, yet still amazing at clumping urine in the box. It's amazing. Tracking is so much less with large grain, and easier to clean up than the small grain. This is where large outperforms small grain for Maine Coons, hands down. The small grain gets tracked everywhere so easily, like the cats came from the beach and brought the sandy shore. However, if I had short-haired cats, I WOULD probably use small grain anyway. The small grain is actually my favorite in how it coats poop and how easy it is to keep the box clean because it's easy to finely sift out smaller pieces of stool (especially soft stool that got broken up, as one of my cats is sometimes overly enthusiastic in covering up evidence of his waste). Any grain size soaks up urine super fast, and I can scoop it out instantly for disposal, but waiting a little bit does help it to solidify. PRO TIP: Make sure there is enough depth of litter so that the urine can solidify quicker than it can reach the bottom. That way, there's less scraping and keeps the vessel cleaner longer. You'll figure out how tall you'll need to keep it filled/re-filled. It stays clean longer than other litters I've used, and it's easy to see when it needs to be changed. Small also stays cleaner longer because most mess (like tiny pieces of soft stool or urine) clumps larger than an individual grain, and with a good, fairly fine mesh sifter (PRO TIP: buy the ones sold for reptile cages for Small Grain!), you can really get all the waste out. This ends up making it a bit more economical. For this reason, I don't like Mixed Grain, as it makes scooping unnecessarily complex. You need a scooper with large enough openings so that clean, large grains don't get captured, but that leaves some dirty, small grains clumps too small to capture. If you use a finer scooper to grab those pieces, you're grabbing clean, large grains along with it. So PRO TIP: Skip Mixed Grain size to avoid difficulty sifting. Odor control is great, but I would say due to how the small grain fully coats stool, that it has a bit better odor control. Even so, people come to my house and can't smell litter box odors in the guest bathroom that has two very giant litter boxes that my two boy cats use the most. (We have a third, smaller one in our primary bathroom because 1.5 boxes per cat is the rule we go by.) The largest box they prefer almost exclusively for stool (sometimes urine), the medium for urine, and the third sometimes urine. PRO TIP: I've tried a lot of different litter-tracking mats, but found that for the large grain, Chenille bath rugs are the absolute best and easiest to keep clean. The tall, large pile essentially softly brushes most of the large grains off of paws, and allows me to shake them off back into the litter box. They then go straight into the wash on a regular basis. I keep a second set to replace the one in the wash. It's the best. I hated wiping or hand-cleaning other types of litter mats. Tracked small grains just kind of cemented (in fur, or on mats) and was always a nightmare to deal with.

This is THE litter you didn’t know you needed
Veterinarian and cat lover here. I have used a ton of litters over the years and unscented clay litter is what my cats prefer so that’s what I have always used. Based on other reviews I decided to give this a go. I have a litter robot, a regular pan litter box, a cat that makes super stinky poo and a cat that is asthmatic. I am going to review what’s important to me with regards to cat litter. *this is for the sustainably yours large grain only* 1. Clumping- this is by FAR the hardest clumping litter that exists. Period. Rock hard clumps. No crumbling. Super easy to scoop. It’s impressive. Nothing compares. 2. Scoopability: very easy to scoop and the clumps do not stick to the side of my robot or my litter pan. The thing I hate most about clay litter is the clumps always stick to the side of the litter boxes and they crumble making it hard to get it all out. With this litter the clumps stay in one piece. It would be very hard to break apart. Very easy to run my giant scooper through the litter and across the box. No digging like with clay and it doesn’t stick to the scooper. Box stays clean. Very little to no streaking in the litter robot globe. 3. Dust- zero dust. I have a cat with asthma so this is non negotiable. 4. Tracking - does track a little, not any worse than the low tracking clay litters. The litter is beige/yellow so if you have dark floors you will see it. I have a giant litter mat under each box and a chenille rug in the path and it contains 95% of the tracking. My Roborock gets the rest every day. 5. Smell: smell is very well contained in my litter robot but if my stinky pop cat poops in the regular box and doesn’t bury it, I can smell it. I refuse to use scented litters bc chemicals and my asthmatic cat, so the occasional stinky poo I can live with. 6. Cost: It’s expensive, really expensive. I guess you get what you pay for…If this is in your budget, it’s 100% worth it. I’m a convert and will continue to use this litter. I can’t speak for product consistency bc I haven’t used it very long. It did take my cats 2 weeks to start using the litter box with this litter regularly. My advice to introduce- add another new cheap deep pan litter box to what you have already, fill it with this litter only (2 bags = $40), put it in a cat desirable location, and give them a few weeks to adjust before you switch out their current toilets. If you decide to give it a go, I hope you like it as much as I do. Another reviewer recommended mixing with Boxie Pro and getting similar clumping results making it a little more cost effective. I may give that a try.

This product has genuinely exceeded my expectations. The clumping is strong and clean, making daily scooping effortless. What impressed me most is how well it controls odor, even with regular use, it keeps the space fresh without any heavy artificial scent. It’s also a low-dust formula, which helps keep the area around the litter box tidy. Overall, it’s reliable, effective, and worth every riyal. I highly recommend it.

Honestly, this is the best cat litter I’ve used. After years of owning cats and trying all kinds of litter, including pellets, clay, silica, corn, and tofu, I’ve found that this one is the best overall. Not only is it natural and sustainable, but my cats seem to love it, and it makes cleanup much easier. It absorbs liquids quickly and clumps almost instantly, which makes scooping very convenient. I’ve also noticed that it does a good job of reducing odours. My cats have had no issues with it at all. It also doesn’t track too badly. A few grains may come out of the litter box, but that’s pretty normal with most litters. Overall, I highly recommend it.

This IS the best cat litter! First of all it is a natural litter so I can have peace of mind about my cats' health. It clumps quickly and the clumps are very hard so they don't fall apart and make a mess when you're scooping the litterbox. This means the litter you're left with is much cleaner and smells much less than other litters. The unclumped litter is so fine that it makes scooping the litterbox so quick and easy as it falls through the scoop without any fuss. My three cats even seem to prefer the litterbox with Sustainably Yours litter over the litterboxes with their previous litter in. It's a little expensive to get this litter in Australia but I would say it's very much worth it. The only negative thing I could say is because the litter is like sand it tends to spread over the tiles more than a non-tracking litter, and feels awful stuck to the bottom of bare feet. If you have a cat that likes to "throw" litter maybe consider choosing something else, but I would happily sweep up/vacuum more often just because of how awesome this litter is.
