Missing piece
Pros: Numbers are printed nice and large, good wood quality like expected, spindles fit well into the small compartments.Cons: It came with only 44 spindles so number 9 has only 8 spindles. :( I would rate it five stars if not the missing spindle.Update: Five stars. I emailed the company and they sent the missing spindle soon after.

Better than Before
I previously owned a similar spindle set but this one is much better. It takes up less storage room and I love the shape of the spindles in the middle, which is great for prewriting.Great way for children to learn what the numbers represent..

Careful not to misplace or lose any spindles.
I love this material. The children are able to hold the spindles in their hand and count as they place them in the correct box. It gives them a sense of quantity and the ability to connect quantity and symbol.
