how long does it need to cool down after 60 minutes of using?

I've never run it for 60 consecutive minutes, but I've not noticed it heating up at all after 30 to 40 minutes of use. You'll most likely have to stop before 60 minutes anyway to level the shredded material in the bin or empty it. I think I filled it twice with 40 minutes of continuous shredding but also had to level it several times once it gets over half full. It will shut off if the pile of shredded material gets too high on one side, which is how it fills the bin.

MISLEADING. It isn't 5 years on the cutting "parts", it is only for the blade itself. The unit only has a 1 year warranty. Mine just DIED slightly outside this period, they refuse to do anything but tell me to go buy another one. POOR QUALITY.

Can the shredder handle credit cards with imbedded chips?
