It is more difficult to cock the gun, but it is much more powerful. It kills most bugs with ease. My previous version seemed to just annoy yellowjackets, but this one will kill them at a distance. This salt gun seems durable and should last a long time. It is very effective and easy to use, as long as you keep it loaded with a good salt.
