Did NOT Break My Jaw, But My Tongue Almost Went to War!
Okay, let’s address the elephant in the room: despite the terrifying name, these jawbreakers did not break my jaw. In fact, my jaw remains intact, fully functional, and ready for whatever life throws at it. HOWEVER, my tongue? Oh, my tongue went to battle. At first, it was all sweet, sugary bliss. The first few minutes are like a warm hug from your childhood candy dreams. You feel like you're indulging in a candy-coated paradise... until you hit the second layer. And then? Ohhhh, baby. That’s when it turns into what can only be described as sandpaper. Seriously, I think I accidentally filed down a few layers of my tongue. It’s like someone took a tiny, sugary rock and decided to add a little extra grit for fun. My poor tongue was not prepared for that level of roughness. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say this jawbreaker was secretly a tongue exfoliation tool. But let me tell you, once you survive the sandpaper layer (and your taste buds can recover), it becomes smooth sailing again, back to that sugary glory. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, but one that rewards you with that classic sweet aftertaste that makes you forget about the mild trauma you just inflicted on your mouth. Final Thoughts: Look, no jaw was broken, but my tongue did get roughly introduced to the idea of exfoliation. Would I do it again? Absolutely. It’s a jawbreaker for a reason — and if you’re tough enough to endure the brief, painful sandpaper phase, you’ll be rewarded with an unbeatable candy experience.

Sweet, Colorful Nostalgia
These Jawbreakers Assorted Colors are the ultimate throwback candy — bold, bright, and packed with flavor! Each one-inch piece has that classic rock-hard crunch that lasts forever, and the rainbow colors make them look just as fun as they taste. I love that they have a pressed dextrose candy center, so when you finally make it through the layers, there’s a sweet surprise waiting in the middle. The 2-pound bag is perfect for sharing (or not sharing 😄) — great for parties, candy jars, or just satisfying your sweet tooth. They’re exactly the kind of candy that reminds you of being a kid again. If you’re into old-school treats that last and taste amazing, these jawbreakers are an absolute win!

Do Not Waste Your Money
As you go through the first layer of what feels like sandpaper, the following layers are smooth. The layers are typical of a jawbreaker The center though is awful! It is not the sweet tart flavor or texture you expect. It's texture and taste is something you want to spit out and throw away. It did not taste edible. Please do not waste your money on this product.

Good enough to order more. Only real complaint is the sweet tart center is slightly too big.
I like hard candy so I ordered these and two types of sour candy (one similar to Spree). Of all of them I liked these the best. I like that they have almost no flavor at first (1st minute or so) and that it's never a strong flavor. I like the size (1" diameter) and appearance & that the layers are different colors. I'm not sure I detected a change in flavor in each different layer but I like the mild flavor and mild sweetness. The surface starts out very smooth but gets much rougher after it first starts to dissolve then goes back to smooth. The roughness borders on sharp. I like all of that but some people maybe don't. The sweet-tart like center is fine: I like that it has one. I wish it were slightly smaller though so the candy would last longer. For me it takes about 10 minutes to eat one. I am pretty aggressive about moving it around in my mouth though and I like lightly biting on it occasionally to test if I've reached the crumbly center yet. So my biggest complaint is that I wish each lasted more than 10 minutes. Otherwise I'm very happy with them. No disgusting flavors as mentioned in some reviews. But keep in mind I like the mild sweetness and I like the texture change about 1 minute in which reverts back to the original smooth texture at 2 minutes in and I like the almost total lack of flavor in the first minute. They are adequately hard. They sound like billiard balls clanking together if you hold several in your hand. I love that! The lack of memorable distinct flavors in each layer obviously doesn't bother me, but it might be nice to have a more noticeable change. Honestly I can't even recall if it changed or not. If it did, it was subtle. Also the 1" diameter is perfect: you get exactly what is advertised there. I noticed the description says the flavor is "rainbow" which made me laugh. But I'm specifically trying these a 2nd time and not a similar product because that other product says the flavor is "pineapple." I doubt that's true because not one review or question mentioned the word "pineapple" but I definitely do NOT want pineapple. I see a few reviewers mention mint flavor on both products, but I did not detect even a slight mint flavor on these. If I had tasted mint I wouldn't get more of them.

Love these jawbreakers!
My reason for purchasing these are two fold, first for when I am having a low blood sugar event and something to keep my mind occupied while doing sedentary work. The size and flavors are just what I was looking for.

No flavor
I ate a lot of these when I was a kid. These LOOK good, but the different layers do not have different flavors. As a matter of fact beyond being kinda sweet, theey have no flavor at all! Center is insubstantial and also no flavor. Think I'll put 'em out and see if the racoons will eat 'em.
