No scratches yet, but as it’s non stick sensible to use non metallic utensils

Does the lid come off for cleaning?

No lid does not remove . However, it has a removable stopper to help wash the lid out . The whole machine is easy to clean .

Sorry not sure what you mean. The evergrain works with the plug that's provided on electricity.
