Works great with a Dell Latitude 5495, Lenovo Thinkpad Z13, Windows 11, and Linux.
This works pretty much perfectly with the USB C port on the Dell Latitude 5495. May not be able to achieve the full dual 4K monitors, but that is a limitation of the laptop and not the dock. Everything works, including the power button on the dock. Works fairly well with a Lenovo Thinkpad Z13 as well, although notably the dock power button does not work with the Z13. This is not an issue specific to Dell, power buttons on USB C docks often, unfortunately, have limited compatibility between brands. With that one exception, everything else seems to work just fine; plug it in and everything connects. While I did experience some issues with crashing during sleep while docked, they seem to be attributed to the Z13 and Windows 11, as a combination of Windows Updates and BIOS updates for the Z13 seem to have resolved these issues. Tested it with both Windows 11 and moderately recent versions of Linux on the Z13, and just Linux on the 5495. In both cases, everything seems to work just fine; USB ports connect to peripherals, monitors hot-plug, and ethernet connects at full speed. It also functions when connected to USB C only ports (such as on desktops) without video support. Note that the dock will not be capable of displaying video when connected to a USB C port that does not support video out, but all the USB peripherals and ethernet connection will still function.

A great dock with all the features I could need.
After using this dock for a while now, I am happy to report that it performs as well as I have expected and then some. I bought this while I had just a few peripherals and one screen. I am using it today between a Dell XPS 15 laptop and a MacBook Pro M3 and I am able to seamlessly handle the dual screen ( I can even also use the screen of the laptops as well, so it does support a 3 screen setup ), along with an external camera, a USB microphone, a keyboard and mouse USB combo, a Huion tablet all working fine between the two laptops making my transition from work to home as simple as a flip of one thunderbolt cable. I am really happy I went for the thunderbolt model at the time. I have had to update the firmware a couple of times but otherwise it's been just plug and forget. The ability to power on my Windows laptop with the button on the dock itself is quite nice, although that does not seem to work with OSX. That however is a minor inconvenience.

One dock to rule them all?
We've been looking for a dock that will work with a Macbook M1 and a Windows laptop for a while. Tried a couple of Ankur USB-C hubs, but both had different compromises and occasional USB drop outs. So far this dock seems to do everything with respect to supporting different devices with a single connection, at a reasonable price compared with other Thunderbolt/USB4 docks, and with very little compromise. It appears to be capable of delivering up to 90W of power to any USB-C device, while it is rated for up to 135W of power delivery when connected to a compatible Dell laptop. I tested on a single 1440p ultrawide monitor with a max refresh rate of 165Hz, along with a Razer wireless mouse + Logitech wireless keyboard (each with their own dongle). Note: Multiple display support will be device dependent and I did not test that. 1. Macbook M1. Provides 90w of power delivery according to "system_profiler SPPowerDataType". Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 165Hz via the first displayport connector. 1440p ultrawide works at 60Hz via the HDMI connector. Also tested a logitech usb webcam with the macbook. 2. Razer Blade 14 (2021 version with AMD Ryzen CPU + RTX 3070). Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 165Hz via the first displayport connector. Works well, but I needed to disable g-sync to prevent the picture dropping out when in a game*. 1440p ultrawide at 60Hz via the HDMI connector. Also tried the USB-C DP connector and that worked at 165Hz as well. 3. Steam Deck. Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 100Hz via the first displayport connector. Higher display frequencies would not output. The USB-C DP port did not work with the Steam Deck. 4. Asus Chromebook. Outputs 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide) at 60Hz via the first displayport connector. I'm assuming the 60Hz is a limit of this device. 5. Dell Latitude 7420. Only tested briefly and it worked as expected :-) *In the one case where I tried g-sync through the doc the screen would flash black and then back. I assume this is due to the refresh rate dropping out of a range supported by the monitor or dock, but will need to investigate more. The power button on the dock will most likely only work with a compatible Dell laptop. It *might* work with a TB4 or USB4 device as well, but I don't have one to test.

Works great, but...
Works great. I finally found a docking station compatible with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7640). I'm only giving it four stars because it's missing a 3.5mm audio port for speakers. I'm surprised I overlooked this when choosing a docking station. Usually, I'm much more thorough with my research when buying a product like this. I'm also an audiophile, so you would think this is one of the first things I would check. Anyway, I have to buy an adapter cable (3.5mm to USB Type C) to plug in my speakers. Hopefully, this will work, or I will have to buy new speakers. This is obviously a non-issue for you if you have Bluetooth speakers or speakers that use the USB Type-C port.

This dock fried 2 USB connected devices in the first week of owning it.
I've had this dock for about a week now and I was pretty excited to be able to connect my XPS 15 to power and all of my peripherals and monitor with just one cable. I was especially glad to see that my 3840x1200 monitor had a 120hz refresh rate though this dock. However, the other day when I connected my laptop to the dock I had several big issues. First, the display on my laptop was not working correctly. The desktop image displayed was about 1/3 of the size it should have been and the image was shrunk into the top right corner of the screen. I had seen this happen before when connecting the laptop, but it usually resolved itself in just a few seconds. This time it just stayed that way. Secondly, the external hard drive I have connected to the dock just died. It no longer turns on at all. That I could write off to it just being a bad drive enclosure, but at the same time the very expensive DAC that I have connected to the dock also quit working. At first the computer still saw the DAC, but the music app would not see it as an output device. Then when I tried to power cycle the DAC it would not turn back on. I don't think its a coincidence that 2 USB connected devices both got fried at the same time. I believe this dock has a big problem with how much power it sends over USB. Now I have to return this dock, get my DAC repaired, and buy a new hard drive enclosure. All in all very much not worth it. Not sure what I'm going to do now for a TB4 dock, and I am out a bunch of money getting my DAC fixed and buying a new drive enclosure. Time will tell if the drive itself is still any good... I have not tested that yet. 4/14/2024 update - This dock is complete garbage. Every single day I have an issue with it. Monitor isn't recognized, USB keyboard isn't recognized, USB-C hard drive isn't recognized, monitor flickers on and off every minute or two, DAC is not found to play music through... on and on. This thing is such a complete piece of crap I regret the purchase daily. Dell sent me a refurb replacement maybe 3 or 4 months into owning this thing, it solved no problems. I will never purchase another Dell product, what a disappointing waste of money.

Works fine with HP Elitebook 645 G11
Corp IT upgraded me from Dell to HP elitebook 645 g11 ryzen. They took Dell dock back so had to get my own dock so bought HP G6 tb4 one but it would have random usb issues. So decided to go back to the trusty WD22tb4 I had when I had one assigned from EIT. Never let me down when I had Dell laptops. This one works great with my elitebook. Even turns it on with power button! Great seller too condition like said. Happy to have reliable dock again.

Actually supports 2x 4k monitors
Unlike the WD19 dock, this one actually supports 2x 4K monitors. The descriptions on Amazon leave a lot to be desired, so the first one I ordered (WD19) did not do what I needed. One thing I like about this from a mechanical and usability standpoint, most of the bottom of the unit is covered with high traction rubber, which means that cables plugged in won't drag it off onto the floor. One problem I ran into was that the HDMI port did not initially work until I plugged the other monitor into a different displayport port. A bit odd, but I hope that anybody else who runs into this issue will see this. I haven't tried the Ethernet port, but the extra USB ports are a big win along with neater cables than having stuff plugged into bot sides of the notebook.

Still working after 2-1/2 years. Good. Compatible with other brands.
I purchsed this to use with my Dell XPS 9575 2-in-1 and fully worked no issues, daily driver. Powered this power hog laptop without issue.'' Now last year I got an intel NUC 12th gen i7 and just connected the dock and worked just fine. It does not power the PC though. Still my mini pc has exactly two cables coming out of it, power and dock, very convenient. I also purchased one for my boss almost two years ago and who has an hp elite 360 something convertible laptop with 13th generation i7 and works just as well he has had zero issues.
