I injured my shoulder and icing helps me tremendously with lessening the pain and inflammation. After I grew tired of holding a frozen ice pack against my rotator cuff, I started looking for an ice shoulder wrap. I tried and returned two different brands before I ordered this one from Ubertherm.Pros:- It has no under arm strap, which makes it a lot more comfortable than other shoulder wraps I’ve tried. The previous shoulder wraps both had an underarm strap that cut uncomfortably into my arm pit. Also, no under arm strap means you don’t need to lift your arm to put it on, which makes it easier to use after injury.- You can adjust the icing area pressure with the sewn-on tension straps. It becomes snug where I tighten them and I like being able to add pressure where I want it. There is one on the arm and one near the neck.- It came with an extra lengthening strap for people with larger upper bodies.. I don’t need that, but I use the extra strap to add extra compression over my rotator cuff. The tighter you pull this wrap the colder it feels.- The gel pack is easy to remove and put back in. I bend it into a curve shape before putting it on and that helps it form to the curve of my shoulder. Once it thaws a little you can further mold it to a great fit.- My shoulder feels nicely cold after use but I don’t get that uncomfortable stinging or freezing-your-skin-off sensation.- Very high quality. Seems like it will last for a long time.Cons:If you need it for both shoulders you need to buy one for your left shoulder and one for your right shoulder. A bit on the heavy side, but worth it because the cold lasts and the wrap isn’t flimsy.Overall I’m glad I found this one and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great way to cool down their shoulder.

I had a Rotator Cuff and Bicep tendon repair a week ago. I was provided with an electric ice machine by my health insurance for the first 2 weeks but knew I would need the ice beyond that so purchased this cold wrap. Well the machine is not working so I started to use the wrap in it's place after one week. I am amazed at how well it ices my shoulder, I think it gets to the painful spots better than the electric machine! It just seems it is easier to adjust, I will say it is probably good to have another person help with the initial set up as the Velcro is quite tough to move especially a I can only use my left hand for that right now. Yes the ice packs are quite stiff when first out of the freezer but soon mold to your shoulder and stay cold for a good long while. They are frozen again in a few hours which is perfect as I am supposed to use ice every 2 hours. I have no complaints, the material against your skin is very soft and it is easy to move around while wearing it. I don't think you could want for a better shoulder wrap and I would buy it again. Well done Ubertherm! 1/11/2018 - Just an update Ubertherm are very customer friendly and contacted me via email to see how things were going. I did have a problem with the lining it had frayed in one corner, they very kindly replaced it even though it didn't affect how it was being used. Thank you Ubertherm! Also I need to wash the wrap as something got on the ice pack and then on the wrap! I washed it on a delicate cycle in the mesh laundry bag and then dried on delicate....came out looking as good as new!

I can’t say enough about how much this has helped me through the discomfort after my reverse shoulder surgery. I find it so much easier to use than the ice machine or the copper shoulder pad. You can actually move around and do things while it is on. I didn’t think it was cold enough until I wrote to [email protected] and read his response!“If the gel pack is freezing and you are still not getting enough cooling, then a different issue might be the reason. First,the pocket material in the shoulder wrap is a conduction regulator, which controls the rate of cooling to avoid ice burns and unhealthy tissue freezing. Because it uses conduction it needs to have good skin contact, or be worn snugly over a thin fabric that doesn’t insulate. I would suggest making sure the pocket material is very snugly placed against your skin (maybe wearing a tank top or similar) as the tighter the contact the better the cooling. If the pocket material is not making tight contact you won’t get cooling as the air in between will be too insulating. If it’s still not cooling enough for your needs, some people wear the gel pack directly over a shirt outside of the pocket, but that’s rarely necessary.I used a very old thin t -shirt of my husbands, under the ice pack. It wasn’t until I removed the pack and shirt that I realized my skin was ice cold with no burning of my skin.Just try it, it really is amazing!

Almost as good as the PT icing machine! The arm band is a little large for a small frame but the adjustments make it a much better fit than the one I received after surgery. The cold insert is very comfortable and stays consistently cold for over an hour. I bought an extra cold pack but it wasn't necessary because it will be cold again when you need it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Excellent, well made product that works well with the shoulder sling my doctor supplied after rotator cuff surgery that I have to wear the next 6 weeks 24/7. Fairly easy for a person with only one useable arm to put on, due to the way the strap is designed. I have a 44" chest and would not be able to use this shoulder wrap without the supplied strap extender. In fact, the strap extender is just barely long enough for me, but it`s secure and hasn`t come loose. Since ubertherm went the extra mile to make the wrap left / right side specific, you may want to consider making a dedicated large size shoulder wrap because a 44" chest isn`t really that large? The ice pack pocket also fits my large heavy duty Colpac brand ice packs, but I ordered a second ubertherm ice pack because the pleated design wraps around the shoulder better. Highly Recommended after shoulder surgery.

This is my first review EVER. I just think others who have shoulder surgery (mine was rotator cuff surgery) will love this thing. The gel ice pack freezes fast and slides right in, so putting it on takes about 10 seconds. Coverage is perfect and it is comfortable.Buy this thing and buy one extra gel pack (the gel pack is a little over-priced but what the heck) and you are all set. OH...and if you use a cold-air machine, this harness holds the cold end on your shoulder WAY better than the ace bandages that come with it. So get both and have eutopia.

My right shoulder has been hurting lately, in which I used another brand's shoulder wrap, but it didn't help with the pain. I gave Ubertherm's shoulder cold wrap a try and my pain has gone away completely each time after putting it on and relaxing it for 20-25 minutes. This product works wonders and I would highly recommend it to anyone suffering from shoulder pain. I have used this product going on 3 days now, and my shoulder is feeling so good right now. Last week, I was miserable and having a hard time typing with my right hand because of the shoulder pain. If you are hesitant about getting this cold wrap after trying other shoulder cold wraps/braces/ice packs that have failed you.....don't be! This shoulder wrap really works as advertised and the ice pack does not burn your skin at all; it alleviated my pain almost instantly after putting it on. While you're sitting down on the couch relaxing, place the flat ice pack in the pouch and put the shoulder wrap on you. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely try the knee brace for the cooler months and after doing my leg work outs. Great job Ubertherm; I am your number 1 fan and an advocate supporter!

This thing earned its keep. I've been dealing with impingement and rotator cuff issues for 5 months and this thing is amazing. I wouldn't ice this as often as I do without this. 5 months in I ice after physical therapy, and early on I iced my shoulder daily, and this makes it easy. I like that I can adjust it to target the area that's bothering me the most, which isn't always the same.I'm 5'3, 130 lbs athletic build with broad shoulders for my height and I can make this fit. I have to adjust it quite a bit and it helps a lot to have a friend adjust the back straps, but I have zero complaints about fit.

Nach langem Schulterschmerz habe ich mir diese Kompresse bestellt.Seitdem ist diese jeden Tag in Gebrauch und lässt sich unter einem großen Hemd auch gut direkt auf der Haut tragen, weil diese am besten direkt auf der Haut wirkt. Dazu hatte ich freundlichen Kontakt mit der Firma, welche mir diese Kältekompresse zugesendet hat.Also hier kaufen gerne immer wieder!

Huge help to me from huge shoulder pain before and after surgery. The ice pack design is genius as it really lets you wrap the shoulder properly and quickly without messing around with either a tonne of loose cubes in a bag or constantly moving a block of ice or and ice pack around to hit your problem areas. Can't recommend this highly enough, a huge help to someone massive shoulder issues for over a year, just wish I found it sooner!

Douleurs à l'épaule et au bras suite à une rupture de tendon . Sans la supprimer , je ressens effectivement un soulagement . La pochette de gel tient le froid très longtemps et est assez large pour couvrir une large zone , comme l'épaule et une partie du bras dans mon cas .Très bon maintien grâce à une bande élastique réglable .Très grande qualité de fabrication et très confortable .
