USB Reading Lamp with 14 LEDs Dimmable Touch Switch and Flexible Gooseneck for Notebook Laptop, Desktop, PC and MAC Computer + On/Off Setting (14 LED, Black)

I needed to find a reading light that would adequately light up my keyboard because my new laptop is a smaller sized one with an 11.6-inch screen that did not offer the option to have a back-lit keyboard, which I have found problematic because I often like to use my computer in bed with the room lights dimmed or off. I quickly realized that my best option was to purchase a good USB powered reading lamp and so I headed to Amazon to find one, and after reading numerous reviews on many reading lamps, I came to the conclusion that this reading lamp, with its 14 LEDs that would surely light up anything below it, was a logical and sound choice with the benefit of being reasonably priced. The first time that I plugged in this USB powered reading lamp into my laptop computer and tried the three different brightness settings, I was more than satisfied with my purchase. The brightness settings are easily changed by simply tapping on the head of the reading lamp. I had assumed that I would need to use the highest brightness to illuminate my keyboard to my liking, but that was not the case, as the second level brightness more than adequately lit up my keyboard, making it easy to see all the keys in low lighting. With the reading lamp set to the highest brightness, I could see the keyboard even with no other light sources in the room. Finally, I will say that this is a great USB powered reading lamp that I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for one. The 14 LEDs in this lamp deliver a lot of light to whatever is beneath it. The three different brightness settings, accessed by simply tapping the light, is a unique selling point that gives flexibility to the light, as the user can choose which setting is best for their needs at that moment. In the end, I feel that this is one of the top reading lamps you will find on Amazon, especially considering the price point of the lamp, and so it is most definitely a smart choice to buy it.

Love this reading lamp. I simply put it in a USB port on the side of my laptop. The touch on/off has worked perfectly allowing me to choose from 3 brightness levels. In addition, it is very flexible to allow positioning as needed. No noted heat output or flickering.

Pros: Works Great. I use it at night to light up my keyboard and as an overall night light in bed. It's easy to find the touch controls on the top of the light. The 3 brightness settings are nice to get the overall lighting you need. The lowest setting gives me just enough light to see my keyboard without disturbing my partner. The brightest still only tends to illuminate the immediate area (I imagine I could read with it) and not the entire room. I haven't noticed the item getting overly warm or hot. Cons: It's not the best build quality. It just feels flimsly. For the cost, I'm happy with my purchase. I wasn't expecting a lifelong item. Next time I purchase a laptop, I'll make sure to get a backlit keyboard. Until then, this works for now.

I have my laptop on a stand by my chair in a space where no light source is readily available. I bought this to light up my keyboard at night. This works perfectly, providing 3 light settings that match well to the growing darkness. If you need a light and have a USB port available, this light will provide a great LED light source to light up the darkest spaces.

I don't normally do reviews, but this one works so well, I wanted to share my results. I would give this ten stars if possible, as it works better than I could ever have expected. I use this for lighting my laptop keyboard at night with the lights off, so as not to wake my wife. Tap the lamp and it cycles through three brightness levels and then off. Well worth more than what I paid for it.

It works. Arrived whole and. Timely

It is easy to use... just plug it into a USB port but I wish it was few inches longer to make it more versatile. The light itself is not very bright but does help to see what you are doing. The light has three brightness settings but I think the lower settings are pretty useless since they are so dim. The touch button to change brightness is not very sensitive and has to be touched several times to turn on or change the brightness.

Good light and I appreciate the bendy neck so I could angle it away so that the light is facing sideways and its not in my eye line. I found that the usb connection isn't tight causing the USB end of the unit to sag a little but I fixed this with a cable tie attached to my monitor arm via an anchor point.

Seit knapp zwei Jahren nutze ich diese Lampe fast täglich an meinem Laptop. Sie tut genau das, was sie soll, nämlich die Tastatur beleuchten. Und das tut sie perfekt! Durch die drei einstellbaren Helligkeitsstufen kann ich die Beleuchtung genau an die Lichtverhältnisse im Raum anpassen. Die niedrigste Stufe ist für mich völlig ausreichend. Die Lampe blendet nicht, da ich den Schwanenhals entsprechend drehen kann. Einziger winziger Kritikpunkt: Der USB-Stecker könnte etwas straffer in der Buchse sitzen. Bei einer unbedachten Bewegung kann es schon mal passieren, dass der Stecker den Kontakt verliert und die Lampe plötzlich dunkel ist. Passiert aber sehr selten und ist mit einer Handbewegung korrigiert. Also absolute Kaufempfehlung!

This is a great lamp. Really useful for travelling and camping.
