Mtv Unplugged 1993

The unplugged recording sounds terrific for an unofficial record. However, the bonus songs sound bootleg.

The only other way to get this AMAZING recording is with a super-limited LP / CD set, so being able to hear this at all is a treat... but this recording is so full of tone and richness, it's immersive like nothing else. Make sure you've calibrated your turntable - the fidelity is so great, you'll notice RPM discrepancies (i.e., don't repeat my mistake). One of the greatest sets of the '90s, and undeniably iconic for Unplugged!

The sound quality on this is disappointing...not clear and vibrant...too bad because the Nirvana &Pearl Jam unplugged are great

I’m going to give it 3 stars because I love STP and this performance in particular. The record is nice looking. Nice color. The sound, meh, could be better. I have an original AIC Unplugged and the acoustics blow this away, also, you’d think as a concert like performance the record would seamlessly flow from one song to the next. It doesn’t. There’s a break between every track. It’s like whoever did this downloaded this on Napster like 25 years ago and just had it pressed. Hoping to find a better version of this album so I can sell this one for like a dollar at some point.

I have waited so long to get this on cd. All the songs that appeared on the MTV Unplugged special back in 1993 appear on here. There's even a bonus track. The only complaint I would have is that a couple of times the transition of applause doesn't flow completely from one track to the next. But the music and the vocals are all recorded very well. Not sure whether this has been remastered (probably not) but the sound is still very good. Nice memories of when the band was about to become at their best. Recorded right before the release of Purple. I'll also add that I much prefer this stripped down version of Plush than the one that was recorded later and was heard all over the radio and is included in their hits package from a few years ago.

Pressung auf 180g Purple Vinyl einwandfrei. Leider abgehackte Pausen zwischen den Songs. Das was Vinyl eigentlich ausmacht, zunichte gemacht. Schade
