Great product, after suffering with the cheap pir sensors working for a bit then triggering all over the place this unit is working perfectly. I like that it mounts flush and is a good waterproof design, it has a back cover that also waterproofs the rear of the product that’s in the wall or shed in my case.

The cynic would observe that it actually works too well! It has a very high sensitivity level, and very wide acceptance angle too. This makes it difficult, when mounted on a building, to reduce the detection zone of interest, and our lights were suffering from a vast number of unwanted activations. There is no way of mechanically adjusting the detector to optimise any particular zone, NOR it seems of adjusting the detection sensitivity (ONLY 'Light Level' and 'Time ON')! I decided that the only way I could alter the detection zone (from EVERYWHERE) to 'targeted', was to mask the unwanted zones out using Plastic drain fittings, trimmed for profile, and then Superglued in the optimum position. This actually works extremely well, and a modified 'snout' would be an excellent accessory, turning a 'good' unit into an EXCELLENT UNIT.

Work perfect

This was going in my garage in a surface mount box but even though it is exactly that size it's not compatible with any standard box. It looks like it is intended to fit directly onto a plasterboard wall with most of the guts needing a large central cutout about an inch deep. Other than that it works really well for activating lights with adjustments for time on and ambient light level (so it only activates in low light). It can also be set to permanently on or off (not sure why). It's got just the right sensitivity and range for my application.

Great detection. Not the most easy to fit. It comes in three parts: a plastic housing (round the electronics), the detector and the outer cover. Wires need to come through the plastic surround to be fitted to the electronic box. These two are a bit fiddley to separate first to do this but care with a small screwdriver, working as a lever, did the trick. The wires exit at the rear and, once the two parts are clipped back together, one needs to lead these wires out on the side before entering your channel to the light fitting. (Assuming you plan to hide the wiring). So use thin wiring if you can. No screws supplied and the holes in the box and plastic outer are quite small. I liked the fact that there is an on/off switch plus a PIR switch which are easily accessible as are the normal other controls.

Single handedly, the most awful, badly designed piece of kit I've ever installed in my 40+ years of doing electrical installations. Works fine once installed, setup and commissioned but I wouldn't buy it again nor recommend it. Not sure on the reliability, time will tell. There aren't many options to buy a surface mount PIR, so be prepared for a frustrating and possible poor installation. The installation instructions aren't very good, but if you're competent at electrics, you will work it out.

Buen producto, hace bien su función. Mi video muestra cómo los sensores detectan mi aproximación, mantienen las luces encendidas durante un tiempo determinado y se reactivan cuando me acerco de nuevo. Esto me da tiempo suficiente para salir del coche y llegar sano y salvo a casa. También me gusta lo planos que son los sensores, lo que hace improbable que los rompa accidentalmente. Tengo un sistema con sensores debajo de cada luz, lo que también permite que detecte el coche cuando entra en la entrada.
