This stuff is really good. It smells of almonds (not everyone’s cup of tea but I actually think it smells nice). You need to wet your hair before applying but to be fair, wetting your hair before you swim is beneficial anyway as it stops the chlorine from being absorbed as much. You don’t need a lot as it sinks into your hair quite well - particularly when it’s wet. It rinses out well and stops the chlorine smell too. I’m a serious swimmer so I spend 45 minutes in the pool about 2 to 3 times a week. My hair gets a battering in the pool and is always dry afterwards. This stuff has really helped stop the dryness. I’ll definitely continue to use it and I’m looking at the other products in the range. It’s not cheap but I think it’s worth it.

This stuff does what it says it need to use enough. It’s obviously slightly greasy but I’d say more lotion- like than grease. It maintains hair condition and I won’t swim without it. Easy to use but better under a calm- that’s how I use it

I tried this in the tube first before committing to the larger size bottle. A good product that has left my pool dry hair super soft & shiny, I swim 3 times a week & use this religiously, applied to dry hair rather than wet/damp hair as I can tell better on how the product is distributed through my hair but this is down to preference. The product is a type of gel/cream white in colour with an almond scent, it washes out with regular shampoo & conditioner leaving no residue/almond scent & I noticed a difference after the first use. I would highly recommend this product however I did remove 1 star as the pump is rubbish I couldn’t get it to work luckily I had a empty aveeno pump bottle so I just switched out the pumps.

I tried like 4 swimming caps, ALL let the water in🤬chlorine was totally killing my granddaughters beautiful curly hair. I tried this and it actually works. Her curls are coming back. So I subscribed to get it every 3-4 months. Wouldn’t be without it and can’t recommend it enough.

UPDATE: I did buy another but got it direct from the company as I was worried about fakes. The new one came in the same tall skinny bottle. On the plus side it's even runnier than the last one so it was really easy to decant into the original shaped bottle but it's certainly nothing like the product I was using 2 years ago which didn't even run down the sides of the bottle if you inverted it. Definitely been watered down. Shame as it used to be so good. Been using this for a couple of years as I spend hours in the pool and hate wearing a swim hat. It’s one of those things you’re not sure if it makes much difference, but you don’t want to stop using it, just in case it is helping. It certainly doesn’t do any harm. And it smells DIVINE! I even ordered some in the US when I was on holiday. But my latest purchase is different. Firstly, the bottle. It's now tall and skinny, so not very stable. On day 3 of using it, I knocked it over and the pump broke. Secondly, its noticeably runnier than the last 3 bottles I've had so not sure if it's even genuine. Still smells great and my hair doesn't seem to be any worse condition so I'll continue using but not sure I'll buy another if it's this 'new' formula.

I go swimming three times a week and Aquarobics twice a week. The first time I used this product I noticed the difference in my hair condition. I put this on my medium length hair 20 mins before going to the pool and afterwards I wash out with an anti chlorine shampoo and then anti chlorine conditioner. My hair is now so soft and holding its colour better.

The Aquaguard pre swim hair protector is fantastic!! My daughter is on a swim team and water polo team. She is in the pool 5 days a week for 2-3 hours at a time. This product has saved her hair! She applies it before swimming and wraps her hair up in her swim cap. Even though her hair gets wet, it hasn’t been damaged by all the chlorine. Her hair has stayed soft and healthy looking. It smells great too! Before finding this, her hair was always crispy and damaged. The Aquagurd is a fantastic product. We have ordered it several times and will continue to use it.

Ordered a two pak this time. Great product but unfortunately both bottles had opened and leaked by the time I got them.

I use this product pre lap swimming on my long hair, and use a swim cap over the top. It does the job protecting my hair, wish it was a little more conditioning though and it is awfully expensive.

This stuff is great! I hardly ever go in the pool but more so because I spend so much $ on my hair (blonde, color and pink). It’s never worth it to damage my hair or have the color fade. Well, I got my hair done 2 weeks before our trip to Disney’s typhoon lagoon and was so worried about that. I reapplied multiple times in my day and then sprayed it with the detangler after. Because I couldn’t rinse or shower right after the park, my hair dried. I could not smell the chlorine at all. All I smelt was the product (smells sooooo good by the way lol). I washed my hair and there was not a single trace of chlorine. My hair, because it’s processed, tends to cling on to smells (chlorine, salt water, or other smells like car fumes, smoke, etc). I was super impressed. My pink did fade a tiny bit (granted my hair was soaking wet for hours) but not as bad as I was expecting.
