Where do I get the app to control this lights as stated in the description?

Hello, this light strip is USB powered, all you need to do is plug the strip into a USB power source and the strip will work.

I bought this strip and im using a usb 5v 1a. but its getting abnormally hot. is that normal?

When the light strip is working, the light strip needs to be unfolded and fixed on the surface of the object, so that the temperature will not be high. If the light strip is not unfolded during use, the heat cannot be dissipated, and the temperature will be a little high.

Can this be powered by a 1s lipo? What is needed to make it work?

The working voltage is 5V and can be powered by USB, It can be connected to power bank, mobile phone charger, computer, TV, etc. (Not included USB power adapter).
