Sylvania LED Dot It Linear Swivel Light

I got this LED light to fit it inside my car since the internal lamps were not turning off even i turned off the engine..so pulled out the fuse for the internal lamps and got this stand alone LED lamp..But the inside of my car ceiling is kind of having velvet finish..so the adesive was not holding properly on to it..Actually the product says it holds to metal plastic and all..so i dont complain..so provided the magnetic adhesive on top of the the circular adhesive and put it inside of my metallic storewell.. The LED touch ON/OFF button is good..initially i was having problem turning ON and OFF..but later found like you got to touch the button and release your finger fast to ON/OFF. Finish is good..i got the silver color to match my cars interiors..Quality is good and the swivel works ok..giving 4 star since the product is good..but it dint serve my purpose

Quality construction, easy to turn on/off with just a touch, lights a small area perfectly. Use it for lighting a small gunvault when opening to grab a self-defense handgun. Comes with magnetic strip to attach (haven't tried) or hook & loop pads (tried, but adhesive not too affective for me). Used 3M hook/loop type fasteners which are excellent. Didn't down rate light for this as light itself is so good. Ordering three more for other areas. Price for quality is great!

I bought these as a cheaper alternative to hard wired or plug in cabinet lighting, and got exactly that...a cheap alternative. The lights do a fair job of illuminating the counter tops if the house is pitch black, but the faint glow of the LEDs is washed out if any other ambient light is present. Typically, LEDs do not use much battery power, but within a week of using these for 1-2 hours a night, the lights began to dim and several lost all power within two weeks. The cost of constantly replacing batteries will soon offset any savings of buying these compared to hard wired lighting.

I was hopeful with this product. However the Velcro provided is terrible. This light did not stay in place for more then 3 minutes. Therefore it renders the product useless to me. If you plan on purchasing this item, plan on buying decent velcro to replace what is provided. The light is kinda wimpy, but it's alright for low-light needs. We tried to put ours under the cabinet. For me, it was a waste of money.

As always I was searching for the perfect lighting system for my gun safe. One that was out of the way, yet easy to use and provided the light I needed. I bought two of these lights and mounted them in the safe. Due to the fact that the lights are adjustable it really makes them adaptable for the safe. The lights provided exceptional light in the safe and with the on/off switch having a definite texture to it, it makes using them a breeze. These lights are mounted in positions so that when you open the safe you won't see them which is exactly what I was looking for in a light. I did not want the clutter look. But knowing where they are I can just reach for them and feel the on/off switch without having to see them. They say light touch and they are correct. You just barely need to brush the raised studs on the switch. It does come with two mounting systems, A magnetic one that seemed like it would work great for those safes that have exposed metal to mount to. Mine is carpeted throughout so I just use the peal and stick that was on the back. I just mounted them last night and they felt good and secure. I will update as time goes on. So far these are the best lights I have found for a safe. I deducted a point simply because I wish they would turn off after a couple minutes of being on. I know I will close the safe leaving these lights on by accident. Other than that, these are a winner. Update: Jan 22, 2015 - Still working perfectly and the mounting tape has continued to hold them firmly in position. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Great lights, love the ability to move their direction up and down. Also like the placement of the touch on/off switch. The only thing I do not like is the adhesive. For me, I seem to either have adhesive that won't stick or adhesive that I cannot remove. The light is reliable and very useful for closets and small spaces. Mine is currently in my linen, coat, and bedroom closet.

I like this light, but it has an awkward on/off method.

This is a very weak source of light and the on-off button(s) is silly as well. Useless for most applications I would think.
