I've never seen this type of makeup or acne product before. It's a combination of both. The liquid comes in a tube for you to squeeze, and once you apply this, there is a thin layer that covers your skin and covers your acnes, which allows you to put makeup on top of it. It didn't work for a couple times because I applied it too thick. YOU MUST APPLY IT THINLY so it only creates a very thin layer for protection. If you apply it thick, it will be cakey and look unnatural when you put on makeup. So I don't want you to make the same mistake as I did. This would be a great item when your skin suddenly breaks out. You can apply a small amount to protect and cover your skin with makeup simultaneously. I applied it every time when my skin broke out and it helped my skin relieved as well. And it's great that it can be easily removed with water.
