Outerimpact Red Dot Adapter/Mount for Glock Pistol - M.R.A

I got this after I decided to convert my Glock 30SF from iron sights to a Vortex Venom RDS. All the hardware is of very high quality and machined well. Installation was very easy, requiring a brass punch and hammer to drive the old sights out and the mounting plate base in, two allen wrenches for the screws, and a Glock front sight tool. I recommend using some sort of thread locker to make sure the screws stay in place, and I also put some Teflon tape under the mounting plate. Teflon tape is very thin and durable, stands up to oils and solvents, and should protect the slide’s finish against scratches from metal-on-metal contact. One minor criticism is that the product doesn’t come with any instructions. Outerimpact has a very useful installation video on their site that is easier to follow than printed instructions, but there is a table of red dot sights and which model-specific screws etc. to use that really should come printed with the product to avoid damaging the sights, mounting plate, or even the slide.

Works great. I recommend installing it with professional not a diy item. If your running the RMR you cannot use the oem screws because they are too long. Use the ones in the kit. There are two sets of cone shaped head I believe its #6 on package , but verify. It will be the biggest one from smallest. The small ones will come off. Trust me the RMR became loose and hit my forehead while shooting. So again use the one that is a bit bigger and cone shaped to fit on the RMR Trijicon red dot.

I removed the rear sight from my Glock 34 Gen4. Replaced it with the adapter and installed an RMR. SImple and easy. The online video shows the steps to do it. It is very nice how they provide all the screws for different red dots and put them in separate bags that are labeled. Makes it simple to find the right mounting screws. I need to go to the range and test this for stability and see if there is any movement due to recoil. I am not expecting any. But based on installation, i am giving it 5 stars. I will update my review if I experience any negative issues.

I purchased this to see if I liked my RMR on my Glock enough to have the slide milled. It is well made with tight tolerances and works exactly as described. The only thing I don't like is that it is significantly longer than the length of an RMR resulting in the plate extending in front of the optic. Not a big deal, just be aware of that if a clean look is a big deal to you. For me, it has worked great through several hundred rounds and I like it enough that I believe I will get my slide milled.

I purchased this to install on my Gen 3 Glock 21sf pistol, removing the stock rear sight was the most difficult part of the process, I used a towel to wrap the slide and clamp it in a vice, and used a punch and hammer to remove the rear sight. Once you get the mounting bar installed into the dove tail on the slide, the rest of the installation was very simple and easy. The manufacturer has a very good video of the install process on their website. I have yet to test it on the range, but the install went very well. Be sure to use loctite on the screws, and use the screws provided in this kit to mount the optic, NOT the screws that came with the optic. This is critically important to prevent stripping the threads. I really like the alignment pins which make sure you mount it square on the slide.

Just got done buying my 3rd Outerimpact Red Dot adapter plate. Superior quality and construction. Takes a beating and gives zero problems if you follow the assembly / mounting instructions from Outerimpact and the brand of reflex being mounted. Don't waste your time with cheaper lower quality mounts.

Installation of the mount started out simple but trying to tighten the bolts to 25inch-lbs seemed like they wouldn't hold up to the torque. When placing the Holosun sight and starting to tighten its screws, the screw thread was lost for one of them despite not even reaching 15 inch-lb as recommended for this red dot sight. Good figure but not the material, seems does not support the force that must be given to the screws, despite using a torque wrench.

I mistakenly purchased the wrong kit for my pistol. I emailed the support to see if I could purchase some parts to make the kit work and they sent me all the correct parts and a label to send the incorrect ones back. I emailed in the evening and had a response that same night. I'm waiting on the new parts and will update with a picture!! The parts I did receive looked great and I'm pumped for the right kit.to come in!!
