The fit is snug... not enough to prevent a pretty fluid draw, but snug enough to keep the knife secure until you're ready to deploy it intentionally. **Q: How long are the straps? Can they fit around my leg?** A: Just under 20", the elastic straps stretch to about 36" though they would probably fit very tight if stretched to 36" **Q: How does the paracord hold up with the waves and in and out of water?** A: The cord on the handle is still in good shapes and I dive in mercy ocean water in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn. Biggest issue with it is the leg strap- it seems to loosen while he's wearing it so he has to tie a knot in the end to keep it from coming off. The knife is very sharp though and locks into its holder well.
