Enhances the speckle while still making the clay appear mostly white. Also lets colored slip / englob show its color, but very muted through the white. It’s a perfect blend of solid white and clear shiny glaze. … Also, shakes up well and brushes on nicely. Review: Perfect colors and does not run too much - I received so many compliments with the Pottery pieces I made with this glaze ## Features - COLOR PROFILE - Charcoal Grey is a glossy glaze with a deep, nearly black tone softened by cool grey undertones. The surface is smooth and reflective, with minimal variation for a clean, modern look. Its dark, neutral color makes it versatile for both functional and decorative pieces. - CONE 5–6 MID-FIRE - Formulated for mid-fire kilns at cone 5 and cone 6 (about 2167–2232°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch. - GLOSSY, OPAQUE FINISH - Fires to a smooth, glossy shine with solid, even color that fully covers the clay body underneath. - READY TO BRUSH & BLEND - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Blend with colors in the same series to make new glaze colors, or layer it with other glazes for new effects. - ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing. - CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists. - LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09X62B2K8 | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #35,172 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #49 in Ceramics Glazes | | Brand | Penguin Pottery | | Brand Name | Penguin Pottery | | Color | Charcoal Grey | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 159 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Glazing ceramics and pottery | | Item Dimensions | 3 x 3 x 6 inches | | Item Weight | 1.7 pounds | | Manufacturer | Penguin Pottery LLC | | Manufacturer Part Number | PP-GZ-MH-273 | | Material | Liquid ceramic glaze. | | Material Type | Liquid ceramic glaze. | | Model Name | Charcoal Grey | | Model Number | PP-GZ-MH-273 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Ceramic glaze for pottery | | UPC | 793897120028 | | Unit Count | 16 Ounce | | Warranty Description | Please contact the seller directly for warranty information for this product. I found this glaze and it was the purple of my dreams. It came out exactly how I wanted it! Some of my pieces were fired in the electric kiln and some of my pieces were fired in reduction and all of my pieces came out absolutely stunning.
