Would it kill birds if they drink out of a fountain?

We have an little kiddy pool in the backyard that our 3 dogs drink from, once every 2 weeks I throw 1 donut in there. My dogs still drink from it and have noticed birds drinking as well. I addition, one of my dogs ate one, it just gave him diarrhea for a couple of days. I do break them up and use crumbs in the bird baths in the front garden. Even though I have never see all a bird drink from there, I know I have never picked up a dead bird up from around the bird baths either.

can i put these in my horses drinking water?

Why not ask the seller? Do you think I want to be responsible if something happened to your horses? Hint: Change the drinking water, you won't need these mosquito dunks.

Can product be used in a rain barrel?

Yes. I just throw half of one dunk in my 30 gallon barrel...works great. A 55-gal drum would be best to use a whole one. Takes at least 24 hrs to start working, usually.

Will these dunks reactivate if the pond dries up and then fills with rain again?

I put a quarter of a dunk in my bird bath and it dries up on occasion and seems to work when I refill it. I love these for my little water ponds. They work well and I put one in each pond once a month.

Effective against mosquito larvae

We have some open water collectors for rain water for the flower pots. The mosquitoes started to breed in them but half a mosquito dunk in each soon dealt with the problem.

Great product!

These have really helped reduce the mosquito population near our porch and our deck! When we first moved here, the mosquitoes were really bad. About 1 month after starting to use them, we saw a large reduction in the number of mosquitoes. This year, I started using these before the first big hatch. We have had significantly fewer mosquitoes! I refresh them once a month. It is well worth the money to be able to enjoy my deck and front porch all summer!
