I love this stool and it is a great investment for reducing/preventing muscle tension in the back from sitting for long hours. I have a desk job and get back pain from sitting long hours at ny desk. In regular computer chair ls, no matter how I try to sit up straight and stretch, my back pain builds up as muscle tension faster than I can relieve it w/ stretching, massages, and chiropractic adjustments. I got this chair after reading another review comparing this product to a similar product that’s over $100 cheaper, and am glad I paid extra to get this one because as soon as I unpacked the box I could tell the parts are very well made. It was easy to put together, it came with two allen wrenches and no additional tools were needed. And once I sat in this kneeling stool, there was no going back to regular chairs. It was incredibly comfortable and supportive and helped me to sit up straight and balanced and it has effectively relieved my back pain since day 1 of using it. I simply love this chair!

I am a therapist who sits for up to six hours straight - more or less, my back was starting to really hurt, tried the office chairs with mesh seats etc, nothing helped. I seem to like to lean in as I do telehealth sessions. This chair has solved my back ache, I was worried it would turn into a chronic problem. If you are someone who likes to sit forward on your chair or lean in - this might be great for you. I feel liberated from the pain of the chair, no need for pillows of all kinds. Skip the cheap ones if you are serious about wanting a good chair, clearly this company knows what they are doing, the angles are correct for, the wood has a slight give to it, you can rock and move, change your feet around, put one leg forward, sit cross legged. I am actually truly grateful for this chair, well worth the money, took like five min. to put together.

I know what you're thinking – that you could get a knockoff for a third or a quarter of the price of the original. Don't bother, I owned an ersatz version for years and now I regret all that time sitting on it. Knockoffs typically get the angles wrong, so your shins or knees take more pressure than they should, or the padding isn't enough for your behind. Spend the cash on the real deal, you'll be better for it. Also, I had no assembly problems at all and had the whole thing whipped into shape in minutes, along with protective tape along the runners so the chair or the floor doesn't get scuffed.

I bought this after much review and after reading terrible reviews of the many knockoffs of this design on the market. As a musician in my 50's I have some some long running back issues and have wanted a kneeling chair for quite a while. I am also a big fan of European designs as I own a number of music related instruments built by small European companies. So I went into this sale confident about the quality I expected for this price point. Now a month or so later, I am very happy with the quality and my back is much happier as a result. This chair can work your core if you balance the sitting position so that your weight is not focused on the shins/calves or you can alternate your weight in different ways and keep the movement flowing. I sometimes find myself putting my feet on the floor and rock gently back and forth. It's great. Very happy with this purchase. I may purchase the backrest at some point.

I use this daily for work, and it is very comfy. Yes, it took a couple of days for my lower back muscles to tone up, and yes, my shins were red and irritated for the first couple of days. Think of it like shaving -- the first few days are rough, but, after that, you don't even think about it. I like being able to rock a bit, too.

Great item, ok instuctions... easy to assemble, but make sure you face the seat correctly. I have assembled dozens of different DIY furniture pieces. I own and use a complete array of woodworking power and hand tools, and have made everything from bird boxes to wood desks from milled lumber. I looked at the instructions for this item. At the step of seat assembly, it is not.clear which way is "front.". A simple sticker at botrom.of seat, or any five word explanation would have helped. With very little effort the new leg cracked. Otherwise went together easily. Disappointed for this outcome given cost. Repaired and fit well afterwards, and hopefully will hold. Very comfortable even after recent knee surgery. Ideal for desk, or meditative posture if you can sit cross legged. Please label seat bottom with Front label...

Paid a premium for the fancy chair. It’s rickety. It squeaks and seems cheap. A piece cracked when assembling as well.

Amazing chair for posture. I believe most of the negative reviews for this chair are people whom don't understand that that this chair allows you to consciously work on your posture. The key word is consciously because just sitting in this chair alone will not help your posture. Bad sitting posture in a good chair does not equal better posture the more you use it. You have to aware of activating your core during sitting and maintaining an upright position. This helps builds the key muscles in good posture. Another repetitive negative is leg tightness and shin pain. Yes this chair may cause some discomfort in those areas until you learn how to distribute your weight and find an ideal balance which the "rocking" style really aids in. There's a popular office chair reviewer whom will be unnamed for the sake of embarrassment that has definitely put a bad rep on this amazing chair. The reviewer happened to be a little on the husky side and put all of his weight on the front of his legs. He was causing the discomfort, not the chair. I can't recommend this chair if you are overweight as it just isn't designed with that in mind. Don't hesitate if you want to change your workflow at the desk. It truly helped my posture and I even saw an uptick in my productivity due to how engaging the chair design is.
