Used these connector for the remote control of ILS. Easy connection instead the soldering pin connector. Just problem is- no protection cover.

I used this connector to make a breakout board for diagnosing a piece of equipment at work. One particular piece of test equipment that I help to support uses a DB44 cable to send signals out. I needed to look at these signals on an oscilloscope but didn't want to hack up and strip a 44-conductor cable to do it. Those wires are tiny-- they're hard to strip, easy to break, and even easier to short out if there's 44 of them hanging out in close proximity. For less than $20 I was able to put this on the end of the cable and hook the scope probes into the terminals I needed to check. Way less work and now I can look at any signal that comes out of this piece of equipment. This adapter is a real lifesaver but is not always easy to find. I'm glad I could get my hands on one because it saved me a ton of time.

Used these on a cnc project, wiring up a stepper motor drive. Good quality. Only problem I had is that the metal tab surrounding the actual plug end is threaded instead of a thru hole. Basically it was impossible for me to secure these onto the motor drive because both parts were threaded instead of one threaded and one drilled through for a screw.

Male side should have self contained screw not a nut...
