i bought this so i didnt have a usb cord sticking out of my dash with my alpine head unit, it fit perfectly in my cigarettes' lighter spot and make it look alot better.

used w/ Pioneer AVH1440 NEX radio & Android phone. Works perfect. Be sure and screw the lock nuts on /off a couple of times before installing. Will make for a much easier install! Same w USB port. It's really tight until you plug/unplug it several times. Only thing that would make it better would be if it lit up in the dark.

I was concerned about the connection for using Android Auto may not sustain enough bandwidth, but I have had no issues yet. I had to use extensions for both the USB and the AUX connections as this is wired at the back of my center console and would not reach the radio from there. Even with the extensions, the USB connectivity is fine and the AUX in is clear and noise free. Really simple to install and looks pretty good. If you wish to not use the cover, as I did, I do recommend cutting off the cover and using the ring that goes around the socket (from the optional cover piece) as a grommet of sorts to keep a nice clean install look. One thing I did notice, is that the plastic inside the USB connector is not finished very well and was a little rough. This causes the insertion of a USB cable to feel a kind of crunchy. After enough USB cable insertions, this will wear off and be fine, so not an issue, but an indicator of low-quality manufacturing of the USB connector itself. I would buy this agin and probably will.

There is not much to say about this product other than it works. The USB works with Android Auto, CarPlay, and USB media. The Aux port is an Aux port. I had wanted to install this in place of one of my cigarette lighters until I realized I would have to remove all of the front day and part of the center console to do it. Instead I used the included mounting hardware and I have no complaints.

Works perfect. Put it in place of a cigarette lighter socket in an '04 Suburban and it fits great. Hooked it up to a Pioneer double-din head unit, usb and aux are in the rear. Plays files, (music, movies, and pictures), of a flash drive. I love it!!!

Although I was able to get this to work in my situation what you should know is, the plastic for the housing containing the usb port and the associated large nuts that are designed to hold it in place in your dash are not rigid plastic. They are fairly soft. Because of this when you assemble them and tighten the nut on to the main bezel, it cannot be tightened super tight. Even when hand tightening it gets snug then just skips threads. Both nuts do this because they are soft plastic. To get this to work with any kind of durabililty I had to get as snug as I could without jumping threads and cake hot glue all over the back of it. So technically it's working but only because of my fix.

Great product. Didn’t work for me as they space I bought it for is too small. That’s not the product’s or supplier’s fault so this definitely gets a 5 star rating. The quality is excellent.

This worked out perfect for my RV stereo upgrade. Great fit and works perfectly. It made our last trip this summer much more enjoyable.
