Used for over a year
Great oil. I have been using it for over a year. It’s my go to oil. Most notable improvements over other oils: Popped Popcorn can be stored for a few weeks without rancid odor or taste. I use half the suggested amount of oil on the jar and still get almost all of it to pop. Cooking eggs (I pour off most of the bacon fat then add thrive to sauté vegetables then add in eggs for my morning omelet.) Great for sautéing meat at high temperatures including those I have had problems getting right in the pass: tuna, liver (chicken, turkey and duck.), shrimp, octopus and squid. In baking applications especially good for “greasing” pans where fruit filling reaches sides of the pan like (apple crisps, etc.) where excess oil is not absorbed by dough or crusts. Good for “greasing” pan under fish when baking (helps keeps skin from sticking). Mixed with olive oil lightens the taste and raises to smoke point.

Neutral odor and flavor, and very high heat tolerant. I love it!
I cook a lot of stir fry meals over an outdoor propane burner that gets incredibly hot. I use a carbon steel wok and like to get the flame up into the food for awesome flavor. Because of the nature of my style of cooking I like using this algae oil or avocado oil. This algae oil has a neutral odor and flavor. I certainly love the healthy fat profile it provides. My only complaint would be the cost. I was able to purchase the 2-pack, but avocado oil is still cheaper for me to buy. Just like algae oil, avocado oil also has a very high smoke point. When I cook for myself, I almost exclusively use the algae or avocado oil, and sometimes coconut oil (when less heat is required). When I cook a larger meal for my family and others, I still sometimes use canola oil, due to the lower cost. I don't use a ridiculous amount of oil with each meal, but I do cook every meal at home, and therefore tend to use a lot over time. I would certainly buy this again, as it is a great oil to have in my pantry, but due to the price it won't be my go to oil for every meal.

Superb Taste.... super clean.... super good for you!
We’ve been using Thrive Culinary Algae Cooking Oil since we “discovered” at a tasting station in our local supermarket. Like most things we really like...after a few months ... either the price goes sky-high.... or even worse .... they discontinue it from the plan-o-gram... unfortunately.... with the Thrive it was the latter .... and we could not find it anywhere in our local markets. We found it on Amazon and ..... BONUS .... it was only $27 for 2 bottles .... delivered to our home ....NEXT DAY (we’re Prime members) .... we’d been buying it at our local supermarket for $17 a bottle. ..... highly recommend it... clean ... great tasting ....you can cook with it (we found you can heat it up to 350-400 degrees without getting it to the smoking point ... or use it raw as a component of our salad dressings. Love it... and love the fact that I order today .... and with Prime... it’s here in 24-48 hours ...at NO extra charge.

My fav cooking oil but going out of production
Just read yesterday on the company Instagram they will no longer make this oil. That is a crying shame because it is the best cooking oil I have ever used. Tasteless completely, and light. The best for frying tofu and all kinds of veggies because it imparts no flavor and it doesn't get scorched. Not sure if it was covid or what drove the company down but I am sad. My advice is buy up any you can find as it is truly an exceptional product.

An Oil you can feel good about buying and cooking with!
Hands down the best oil I have used in a very long time if not ever. What I really love about this oil is that it is Paleo & Whole 30 Compliant. The best part of the oil is that it is completely flavorless. And call me crazy but I feel like I need less of this oil when cooking with it. It just seems like a little goes such a long way. The food you cook really tastes like the food you cook and not the oil. As someone who has not used vegetable or canola oil in several months, I missed an oil that had a high cooking temperature. I also cook with avocado oil and while that had a high cooking temp, I just found that it would still burn on me sometimes. With Thrive Algae Oil it holds up extremely well to very high temps. I cooked jap chae in a wok at extremely high temps and the oil did not burn on me once. I love this oil so much I have actually subscribed to receiving it monthly now.

High quality cooking oil
This is a heart healthy oil with a very high smoke point. It has almost no taste, so your seasonings get the upper hand. It goes a long way, you don't have to put much in the pan as it spreads very well and does not burn off. It makes a great base for salad dressings as again, no noticeable taste so your choice in flavorings and seasonings stand out. It is also very stable, resists oxidation = long shelf and cook life. This is a great new product of algal fermentation. Try it, you will like it.

Good Oil
I recently learned of algae oil and wanted to try it. I am going to switch to only using this type of oil once the olive oil I already had is gone. It has a neutral flavor so it's good for salad dressings. I like that it has a high smoke point if I use it for frying. I will be buying this again.
