Unit has Copeland Scroll compressor. I cannot determine compressor size.** A: If the circumference is less than 26" and the height is no more than 15" this blanket should work, as a former HVAC tech I would also suggest inserting cork/rubber 3/4"X2"X4" underneath each corner of the outside unit (not compressor) to further dampen noise from vibration and lastly lubricate fan if needed. **Q: Would this work on a comfort-aire rsn1330s1e.The compressor starts up so loud if your not expecting it to come on it startles the heck of people.** A: I think there is something more wrong with your unit. The blanket is very forgiving as it comes in two parts. Options to move the unit to a different location are slim and expensive. I can still hear the unit when it kicks on but there is a noticeable difference in the sound level. The unit can still be heard but people are no longer jarred by the noise when it starts and conversations are carried on normally. I didn't expect that this one thing would solve my sound issue but it helped a lot. I am happy with my purchase. A note on installation. I do not have a construction or maintenance background and wasn't sure what I was getting into. I was able to follow the directions and install the sound blanket. It took me less than 30 minutes. There are two pieces to this blanket and you will need to make some cuts to accommodate the pipes coming of the compressor and duct tape to secure it. The velcro straps are good enough to get it in place but not enough to secure it and seal the gaps.
