Question 1

10ft is too long for me. How do I adjust the length?

Accepted Answer

The beaded rope is easy to adjust. Slide the cord out of the handle and untie the knot. Slip the handle off the cord (be careful not to lose the plastic washer that is in the end of the handle). Next…slide off as any beads as needed to shorten the rope for your height. Then slide the handle back on; slide the washer back in place; and retire the knot. Last…cut the excess cord and singe the end with a lighter or the burner on your stove (carefully). To keep it from fraying.

Question 2

Are theses beaded ropes different in quality than the more colorful ones (by elite srs)?

Accepted Answer

Hi there! The Do Hard Things 1" beaded jump ropes are the same quality as all of our other ropes. They come standard with 5" unbreakable handles, 1" shatterproof beads, and we back all of that up with a one year warranty plus our friendly customer service available at any time to help you if any issues are to arise.

Question 3

Do the beads break easy? bought a bead rope from dunham’s and it broke first use on concrete. no fancy tricks. just regular jumping.

Accepted Answer

I like the rope, but, you should know, I am not exactly good at skipping rope. I like the rope. The weight from the beads provided enough feel to help me learn to skip rope. I am 250 lb, or so. I use mine on a horse stall mat the vast majority of the time, but have used it on pavement a little. In any case, the beads have held up to me landing on them more often than I would care to admit. My recommendations would be to 1) adjust the length of the rope to fit you slowly (I.,e cut it down in increments to reduce the risk you will over cut it) and 2) save the extra beads you removed when cutting the rope to size. This way, you can replace any that crack and get more life out of the rope.

Question 4

How long is this rope?

Accepted Answer

The Do Hard Things Beaded Jump Rope comes in a standard 10ft length, and is completely adjustable.
