I've used hinges by the big name soft close companies and these work just as well. Install is a breeze. I replaced 32 hinges in all my older kitchen cabinets with these and its like a whole new kitchen. The adjustability really let me dial in the alignment between doors which is a nice feature as well. Between removing the doors, replacing the hinges and reinstalling, the whole project took me a casual two hours at most. It's been a couple months now that they've been in use and they're working great in our busy household.

Very easy to install and replace old hinges. For is exact. The only thing I did differently was use the existing spacers for the screws, as they were already in the doors. The soft close function is very smooth. These are a very economical way to create a higher-end feel for any cabinet doors. And making this change also increases home value for resale … a very desirable feature.

The short of it is this - these hinges use a piston to soft-close. Other hinges use a spring. A spring leaves the cabinets with only two default options - fully open or fully closed. With a spring, there's a "tipping point" and once you're past that point, the cabinet will either close on its own or spring open, potentially bumping into walls or other cabinet doors. Since this uses a piston instead, there's a large "dead zone" where the cabinet will just sit partially open. Much, much nicer. I also like the adjustment mechanism. Other hinges make you unscrew the hinge from the cabinet to adjust the up/down dimension, but on these, you just turn a screw. You still have to be close initially though because they only adjust so far. The only thing I don't like about these is that they don't come with screws to mount them to the cabinet itself. The only screws are used to mount these hinges to the cabinet door. You need three screws to fully install these and they only come with two each, which is strange.

I wanted soft close cabinets so I ordered these from DecoBasics. The hinges work well on standard doors, however, for heavier doors, I would caution using these hinges because the 1 screw doesn’t offer enough support. Additionally, I didn’t think the 105 degree would make a big difference/ impact, but the hinge opens the door a bit too much in some spaces where the cabinet is right against the wall! Just beware! Overall, great hinges, and easy to install.

YES! These saved my sanity. Our kitchen sits just opposite the family room. We aren’t the family that has a kitchen just for show. No. We USE our kitchen at ALL TIMES! So when we’re watching TV or reading a book: BANG, SLAM, BOMP is going on next room over. I don’t know what people are doing in there, but it required an intervention, and these accomplished the mission. So far, these little dooda’s have reduced the noise level by 98%. AMAZING! I did need to use 2 per door, because there was a slight size difference with the existing hinges. I was hoping to get away with only one, but alas. There was only one disappointing aspect to me (which is also my fault for not reading), and that is there seems to be no way to adjust the speed of closure. However, it doesn’t seem to matter as seen in the attached video. The hinges seem to be of high quality for the price, but I wasn’t expecting the moon. Be careful to measure according to the specifications, that was SUPER important. I followed the instructions for measuring and I had NO issue with compatibility and installation. You can see in the video how well these hinges dampen the close. This is one of our more loud cabinets because of the glass, which rattles a bit when jostled. That can be fixed, but I haven’t got around to that. My big concern was reducing the BANGING sounds, and that has been resolved.

Like others said, you do have to remove the white caps on the end of the screws if your cabinets already have them. Thankfully, my cabinets already had some so it was a quick fix by using pliers on the white cap and unscrewing the screw. I then removed the old hardware and these fit perfectly. The adjustments are a little tricky and I still need to fix a few but install for close to 50 of them took around an hour. Once you get one down, the rest are a breeze. Strong metal and the door softening is perfect! On my very large doors that have 3 hinges, I only replaced 2 and it still worked great. The rest of them that had 2 hinges I replaced both to make it even and softer to close.

I bought a package of 40 to make my existing cabinets soft close. My hope was that I would only need to replace 1 of 2 hinges per door, which would be typical install. The hinge itself looks to be a good quality and equal to what was originally used. The soft close component is too weak for my cabinets, and I have what I consider to be normal cabinet doors for homes built in 90’s and later. A few have doors that are 40” tall. These cabinets have 3 hinges per door and I had to use 2 on each side. They do provide some benefit, but not what I’ve experienced with cabinets that come with soft close. Your results will vary depending on the size and weight of your cabinet doors. These were similar in design to the hinges I have and provided enough range of adjustment that I provided a great fit. I’d like to see the manufacturers provide a selection of soft close resistance. All in all, I’ll keep them, but would not recommend, without considering that you might need to replace every hinge at double the cost.

Have only just installed, but appear to be of equal quality to much more expensive hinges. They do come with the plastic push in screws/dowels for fast commercial applications, however, I simply removed them and used #6 5/8" screws...worked fine. I would recommend.

These work perfect to restrict the opening in tight spaces. Highly recommend, but they are WAY over priced for the tiny pieces of plastic that they are. I would look for different hinges that have cheaper options for these restrictor clips next time. It seems each hinge manufacturer's restrictor clips have different designs that might limit mixing brands.

Arrived very fast. Price was unbeatable. Installation was simple and straight forward. Quality seems to be first rate. Would recommend.
