Wipe Clean: Pen Control: An Introduction to Pen Control with Activities To Do Again and Again! (Wipe Clean Learning Books)

I got this for our 3 year old to learn how to hold a pencil/marker and practice pen control. I read a lot of reviews on here to figure out which book to pick and feel like this was the best choice. Others were too advanced. This has straight lines, squiggly, tracing shapes, etc. All the basic things that will help with pen control before moving to more complicated things like letters. It's perfect for beginners.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. This book is a great learning tool and it DOES wipe clean if you're smart enough to use the marker that comes with it. Let the marker dry then wipe off with a wet paper towel. I wiped mine off with a piece of wet toilet paper and it came right off as you can see in the pictures. Now you probably can't use just any marker obviously. That's where common sense comes in. You may have to order these specific markers which I'm totally willing to do because my toddlers are already learning great pen control with this book and we've had it one day. Totally worth the money.

Keeps my 3 year old busy! He loves practicing his tracing. The dry erase marker it comes with does not last long. Ours dried out so we got some cheap dollar store ones as back up. Highly recommend this workbook!

I wanted to buy my one year old daughter a book like this because she was so intrested in writing, when she would see me writing she would point to the pen saying "that, that that!". So i went to toys r us and looked at all the priddy books like this. Then i came home and ordered from amazon because they were 25% less expensive on here! I chose this book because it seemed to have the most variety and simple activities (because she is only one!) I was very surprised when we recieved our book, how intrested she really was. I thought it would just get a look about and be tossed into our "learning bucket" with the other learning tools we have, that are a bit advanced, and we put them aside for when she's a little older. But No! She actually was very engaged and even let me show her how to do it ( she usually has to be the boss lol). After some teaching and a little bit of practice she actually can write with the pen in the book and she even did the activities on the first page, with guidance. One thing that really bothered me and hence the 4 stars, was that I have to erase the dry erase pen marks immediately or the marks will stay permanately. Other than that, this is nicely made and easy enough for my one year old. Im not sure how long a 3 year old would be engaged, as the activities are quite simple. Im glad i purchased this now , oppossed to waiting until shes 3, because I feel as though it will get played with a lot more.

Perfect for ages 2 and up

I absolutely love these for my toddler, i prefer a different marker than the one it comes with but that’s because I want a color other than black. Yes it is hard to wipe off but i like that feature because it helps me check my kids work. Nothing that a little rubbing alcohol cant wipe away. This has definitely helped my child’s pen control!

I got this for my nephew when he was 4. He was starting to explore writing and with this he just TOOK OFF when it came to writing. I had owned another one of these books that was just ABC and liked it, but had lost it. I looked at this one since it had more than just one thing in it. I checked out what each book had and thought this one to be the most comprehensive when it came to beginning writing. Considering my nephew is now 6 and in Kindergarten but in first grade reading and writing it worked great!. He can actually write better and faster than my gifted 2nd grader. I am not saying that is thanks to this book, but I know this book was where he started when he started having interest! And he REALLY liked using this book.

I am satisfied Easy to do and easy to clean Help early pre schoolers to learn moving their hands purposefully to write. or to do some simple maze .

My 4-year-old had a blast with this dry erase book — tracing animal dot-to-dots, zooming through mazes, and practicing letters (over and over again, thanks to the wipe-clean pages!). It’s more of a fun activity mix than a focused handwriting guide, so if you want strict penmanship practice, look elsewhere. Pro tip: use thin colorful markers — it makes tracing more exciting and shows progress at a glance.

Very good learning tool.

solid construction, fun variety of mazes, doodles, excercises and themes. but pen ink pearls up and makes a huge mess of my kid's hands -- THERE it tends to stay quite a while despite soap and water and frenetic rubbing. But I also bought a similar book from a different (French) publisher whose pen seems to leave permanent traces on that book. interestingly enough, that other book's pen works better on this book.

Wonderful product. I just loved their great idea for small kids. children will enjoy writing if we buy it. Over systematic praticing they will learn drawing simple pictures too...
