Given as a gift for beaver moving up to cubs. Looks to be a good useful compass.

Got it for my son's bronze DofE and he was happy with it, they finished really quickly in both the practice and real hikes and he said it was easy to use and accurate. Good value for money and good quality, he will be taking it to his silver award as well.

An ok device if you've got an idea of where you're going, as the air bubble in the glass causes the needle to be deflected by 5-10 degrees. would go for a dearer version ( better quality) next time. only wanted it to set up my satellite dish.

Looks and functions just as expected, though the needle is a bit wobbly and lightweight, so seems to get stuck sometimes and so need gently tilting to get it to start moving again. Useful backup for when technology fails, or if wanting to do things the old fashioned way. Standard plastic construction and knowing which direction is which when at home, I can say that it appears accurate. But you do need to be patient and definitely keep it well away from metal objects as the needle is slow and goes astray easily.

Flimsy poor quality

Bought 3 compasses for grandchildren as we were going walking. None of them pointed north. Sent items back for refund

A great piece of kit ... unless you actually expect the needle to point to North. If you want a compass where the needle arbitrarily points in any direction, this is just the job.

Compass doesn't work at all. Waste of money
