They do not get hot. Extremely bright, used for my back up lights.

Yes. These come individually packaged in a box. They are very flat and plug right into a socket like an incandescent lamp. They seem a little brighter than an incandescent lamp. I put them in my RV outside "porch light". So, I can leave them on at night and not worry about it burning out or draining my coach battery.
