I do a-lot of sand blasting and had been working with a craftsman 60 gallon that flows 11.5cfm for a while and it just wasn't cutting it anymore. Stopping and waiting for it to “catch up” so i could keep blasting, and worst of all.. the noise! With the Emax and its 38cfm I can now maintain blasting in my blast cabinet at 90psi indefinitely without it dropping, and the compressor will actually shut off while doing it only needing to start back up for maybe 45 seconds at a time. And honestly, this thing is so quiet I barely realise that it’s running 50 feet away on the other side of the shop. It’s the noise equivalent of a washing machine on the spin cycle.
