Has anyone had a complaint from those around you? From the reflection of the sun? Thinking about using it in a crowd.

Used this in a large crowd. The surface is not reflective as in aluminum foil; it is a matte silver colored finish so no complaints from others. Many people in the group had similar umbrellas. This worked amazingly well while sitting out in the sun.

Is the dot umbrella white and black ?

The one I received (Antinode) is white with black polka dots.

is this really waterproof and wind resistant? Live in Chicago, when wind blows it blows

We used this in Canada last month in the rain and wind. Not really heavy wind resistant. Because the umbrella did flip inside out. But rain resistant and can handle light to moderate wind. I am not sure if I know of any umbrella that can handle well in heavy wind. I know Chicago has heavy wind...good luck!
