Good tool. light, balanced with plenty of power. Blade change is easy. Allen wrench for blade change stores securely on the saw. Great for times when you don't need the depth of a circular saw. I used the wood blade to successfully cut vinyl siding. As with most Dewalt tools battery life is great.

Nice saw I purchased it for cutting 1 inch foam insulation sheets for my pole barn . It was hard to find a blade for ply wood [which would have worked best for my application].found some blades on Amazon that are carbide so they tend to heat and burn the wood and tends to kick back more on the syrifoam board .I have to lay a straight edge down on bead board to get a straight cut. I think it's mostly the blade that's causing the kick back.the saw comes with three blades and it works great for conduit.

Overall this has become one of the most versatile tools we use. And its used to cut everything -> bought it for tile, but now its more things like metal locks, window casings, large cast sewer pipes, random grinding, siding, and even down to trimming parts off my old foxbody. Its freaking awesome... until last month when the trigger sporadically works. You have to continually push the trigger and it comes to life for a fraction of a second with the wheel turning about an 1/8th of a turn. After pushing the trigger and moving the wheel a tiny bit about 100 or so times, it suddenly starts working. Repeat daily... its annoying as hell. Its not abused, prob dropped from 2 feet or less a few times in its life, and kept as clean as possible. I took it apart and cleaned it and it worked for about a week, now back to the same trigger issue. Such a good tool it deserves 5 stars. It gets so annoying it deserves 1 star. So 4 stars it is cause when it works, its just AWESOME.

Compact and powerful. I use Dewalt tools and this tool is very useful. From cutting tile, tin, wood and chicken wire. Makes jobs so much easier. Does not take up much room in the tool box and with the variety of wheels you can get it cuts through most anything. Took me a while to finally buy it but I am very happy I did. Lots of YouTube videos showing you different ways to use this versatile tool.

I am a diver and needed to cut many tiles both internal and external, and also for small wood pieces. I was deciding between the compact DeWalt saw and this cut off tool, in the end chose this, based on: 1. Size - this thing is super compact and light, as a result, it is very easy to control with 1 hand. 2. Saw blade - the DeWalt compact saw is also amazing, but for wood cutting mainly and the blades are limited. 3. The power - don't be fooled by the size, this little thing throws a punch and cut through tough porcelain 3cm external tiles like butter. Paired with 5Ah battery, it gets the job done. However due to the size and design, one could argue an angled grinder might be more versatile as one cutting tool to rule them all. I don't disagree. But with my usage which focused on cutting straight line with ease, this I think will be better than an angled grinder. So, happy days. Cannot wait for my next project.
