Build your own for pennies on the dollar
I was wanting to mount some studio equipment but not wanting yet another piece of furniture. I use a repurposed entertainment unit (remember those?) around my desk as it provides good shelf space within easy reach. The shelf width is close to the industry standard for equipment racks (19"). This item was the perfect way to make the conversion by supplying the rack functionality to an existing structure. I'm thinking that was the genius impetus that drove this into existence from the start. Because of its "do-it-yourself" nature however, care and at least some mechanical ability / accuracy of workmanship is necessary. If this does not describe you then perhaps enlisting the aid of one talented in these areas would be beneficial. The good: Low cost STURDY, heavy-gauge steel. Simple design, and comes with the hardware needed to install it to existing cabinetry while also providing the hardware to mount equipment to the finished rack (that was a huge bonus). The finished product looks fantastic and performs equally well. There really is no "bad", but I will say caveats: There is a saying, "measure twice, cut once". While there is probably no cutting involved, I would say, "Measure twice, then measure again". Remember learning fractions in school and wondering when you'd ever need it? Well, this is where you need it. If your existing spacing will not provide the 19" screw hole to screw hole (center on) spacing once these rails are installed, then one will need to add spacers or shims to get to that spacing. I painted mine flat black to disappear behind the rails. Also, the supplied hardware to mount it to a wood shelf unit may lack the robustness necessary for heavy equipment loads. If one needs to fill depth or shim for standard spacing, then longer hardware may be needed. Also, the parts are metric but most furniture in the U.S. is dimensioned in inches and fractions. This only seemed to matter when getting longer bolts to attach the racks. Finally, leave about a 1/2" or so gap from the bottom of your install to allow for cords or extended equipment fascia.

Excellent rear posts.
These were used to modify a 2 post open frame wall mounted rack to a 4 post. I realize wall mounted racks aren't designed to hold considerable weight. But this rack is rated for 200 lbs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074NW3N1L/ I wanted sliding rails to hold a server chassis. So 2 additional posts were needed. I had to drill and tap. But overall was very simple to do. Excellent rail/posts.

Rails great, but it screws you up!!!
The product quality is good and well made for the price. However, the 80 rail screws included, which is M6 type, doesnโt fit at all and hence the reason for 4 stars. Buyers, please be prepared to purchase the required qty of screws separately to avoid being disappointed later like I did. The screw type that fit this and other similar rails is M5. Bought a 50pk separately and they worked perfectly. Hoping the manufacturer is taking note from these reviews and rectify this problem.

Decent Product
Decent product rails seem strong enough to hold what they are designed for. Need to cut the threads yourself. So take care on the initial threads. Then they are fine.

Garbage.
Not standard screw size. Holes are too large for standard rack screws and too small for the screws provided. Not recommended.

Excellent Value!
Rails were straight and clean. The value here is the included rack *and* serious install hardware. It's just screws and washers, but I didn't have to go searching for them, or run to the store and spend $2 Two side notes: a) the rails are numbered at each space. You may care.; b) the "mfg box" is fine on its own for shipping one set. It's not flamboyant.

Great Product!
NOT ALL Rack Rails are alike! many low cost brands are not machined precisely and or the rack screw holes are inconsistent. this causes you to require several different rack screw sizes. We tried these for the first time. We installed them in our latest mobile unit. Took the unit on 3200 hundred mile trip to and from Indy and they are still holding up nicely. Recommended!

Heavy duty rack rails
Heavy duty rack rails with accurate holes and heavy metal gage. The paint job is well done as well as the marking

Works
Every new screw will need to strip the paint off and re-tap the hole. At least they won't vibrate lose! I built a nice enclosure for it out of wood. Probably not the best solution for a business environment where some of the components may generate a lot of heat... Good price and a nice diy solution.

Screws that come with it are the wrong size.
Brackets are good, it would have been better if the number labels went the other direction. The acres that are sent are the wrong size. The size of screws needed are 10-32 and I believe they come with 12-32 screws.
