Brad steals the film
Not the best film in the world, but definitely worth a watch. Channing and Sandra are an interesting pairing, and whilst they don't quite pull off a believable chemistry, their bickering together is quite compelling. Daniel is badly mis-cast and there are so many actors who could have delivered this role with much more aplomb. Brad makes a cameo appearance that quite steals the whole film, for the few minutes of screen time.

I love Sandra Bullock.
I'm a huge fan of her work, though I don't have everything she's ever appeared in (she seems to be quite discriminating in which films she appears). I particularly like the way, in some of her films, she acts slightly bemused/baffled by what's going on around her. This is one of those. I've watched it 3 times on TV and I'm still not sure if it's a romcom, though it is funny, because, even at the end, I can't decide about her relationship to the other main protagonist. Either way, I finally decided it was worthy of inclusion in my collection and I'll certainly be watching it again and again.

THE LOST CITY DVD
As I write - this is review 2117 - so not much use really! I was sadly disapointed. I have been a fan of Bullock for many years - She is sexy, funny and can act, but this suffers from a poor script and unimaginative direction. Also who decided to cast Radcliffe as a meglamaniac (sic?) crazy villain?? Brad Pitt steals every scene he is in and Sandra and ChanningTatum do there best with what they are given, but she was one of the (many) producers, so no excuse. This got almost rave reviews when released in the cinema, and whilst It certainly had it's moments the whole was not good enough. DVD has lots of extras including the usual (mostly) fake bloomers, and the price is right. A passable evening's fun if you are in the right mood - Maybe I wasn't!! P.S. Nobody seems to have comented that she is 58 and he is 42, but as she looks so much younger and lovely, who cares I don't!

A FUN WATCH
A fun tongue-in-cheek adventure which see's Loretta Sage,(Sandra Bullock) a successful adventure-book writer kidnapped by eccentric billionaire Abigail Fairfax (Daniel (Harry Potter) Radcliffe) who believes Loretta can lead him to the treasures of a lost city mentioned in a book she'd wrote. Friends will hire a former navy-seal operative to help rescue her Jack Trainer (Brad Pitt) not so bright model Alan Caprison, (Channing Tatum ) who had modelled as the hero for Loretta's 'Lost City' book insists on joining Jack in the search. After a skirmish on the remote island Loretta had been taken to her and Alan go on the run from the billionaire and his henchmen. Will they be caught and will the treasure be found ? This is a fun and light-heated romp that most will i believe enjoy. (4K Disc only/ no Blu-ray copy)

Sandra and Channing made a great film!
This movie is amazingly funny. Sandra and Channing are a duo I wasn’t expecting to work out the way it did! The action and the comedy make this a fun movie for the family. Lots of crude humor, so I’d say kids over 13 would get it. I recommend this movie! Price at the time of purchase 11.15 and as of this review the Black Friday sale is 6.99
