Does it need to be seasoned before use?

No, our pizza stone does not require seasoning with oil. Applying oil can cause it to smoke during heating. Do not use detergent for cleaning which will create unpleasant odors.

Why is preheating important?

Preheat the stone about 10-15 min for grill and 20 min for oven. A fully heated stone ensures even cooking and perfect crust. It is recommended to dust some flour or place a piece of parchment paper between the stone and pizza to prevent sticking.

Can I bake frozen pizzas on the baking stone?

Yes, for best results, take the pizza out of the freezer as you begin preheating the stone. Once the oven reaches the desired temperature, bake the pizza directly on the hot stone according to the package instructions.

Can I use the baking stone on a Kamado grill or wood pellet grill?

Yes, the baking stone is safe to use in most grills, including gas, charcoal, Kamado, and wood pellet grills. It is also suitable for conventional and convection ovens.

My pizza stone has developed dark stains. Should I clean it?

Dark stains are normal for a well-used porous pizza stone and will not affect its performance. If you wish to reduce the appearance, you can scrub the stone with a paste made from baking soda and warm water using a brush. Avoid using soap.
