Review: great machine - This box works exactly as advertised. When I first got it, I played around with all of the settings, but I have been mainly using the octave setting for the past month. With a minimum of tweaking it produces a very realistic female voice an octave above my voice. Not realistic enough to make it the lead voice, but very convincing behind another voice. The other settings also work well, although since they require a voice and an instrument input, they are a bit more finicky. For instance the vocoder setting is a bit weird with guitar because it cuts in and out as the guitar's volume fluctuates. If you compress the guitar, you get a more traditional vocoder sound. Overall, an amazing piece of equipment.
Review: Vocoderesque but honestly works better as a chaos pedal for guitar and drums - I give it four stars for its ability to decimate a signal if you use the right adapter/ cords and run an instrument through the instrument inputs into the mic inputs GAUD it’s amazing. But in terms o what it can do beyond that with voice? Uhhhh it could use some ability to dial in a delay? If it weren’t for the inexplicable chaos this pedal causes when used with drums or guitar this doesn’t for me at least effectively work for what I’m going for vocally, I wouldn’t keep it. But because of my experiments with my drums running through it and my whole fax chain which is highly synth and mod based running through it and of course my guitar. It does a FING LOT and I swear it almost seems reminiscent of their newer atom pulsar pedal thingy or whatever it’s called. Personally I do think 200$ is a bit much BUT that being said. It’s given me an unusual edge in creating on the fly video game soundtracking while drumming. Let alone whole freaking perfect it is for keys or guitar. Again for its intended purpose, it’s a no. If there wasn’t this awesome super potent thing going on with my instruments and my consistent appreciation of Zach hill then I’d have no use.

This box works exactly as advertised. When I first got it, I played around with all of the settings, but I have been mainly using the octave setting for the past month. With a minimum of tweaking it produces a very realistic female voice an octave above my voice. Not realistic enough to make it the lead voice, but very convincing behind another voice. The other settings also work well, although since they require a voice and an instrument input, they are a bit more finicky. For instance the vocoder setting is a bit weird with guitar because it cuts in and out as the guitar's volume fluctuates. If you compress the guitar, you get a more traditional vocoder sound. Overall, an amazing piece of equipment.

You will definitely need at least two microphone cables, one traditional for your microphone. The other one either. A female on one end and a quarter inch to plug into a speaker or mixer or a regular microphone cable that plugs into a mixture that will have to go out into a speaker. Power cable is flimsy, and definitely not rated for travel. First time used in an international socket and it was fried.
