I sure did not ask for an invitation, nor was I expecting one. All the ladies at work talked about their "hot flashes" and I was just like "oh no, not me, I don't get those". In my mind I was thinking, menopause has passed me by, how lucky am I? Well who was I fooling? Let me tell you, that beast reared its ugly head about 3 months ago, really bad. No warm up, no just "here and there". It was like my internal thermometer just " broke" one day. All of a sudden I started getting them 20 to 25 times a day, AND at least half as much during the night. At work, I'd be in front of a fan, fighting the other middle aged women just to cool off and at night I'd be stripping down to just underwear, alternating between burning up and turning clammy, and then freezing because the fan was blowing on me.
