Lyman Single Caliber Rifle Ammo Checkers

I picked up the Lyman Single Caliber Rifle Ammo Checker for my 6.5 Creedmoor rounds that I reload myself, and it’s been a game-changer! As someone who spends a lot of time reloading, I know how important it is to ensure each round is perfect, and this tool has made that process a whole lot easier. The checker is super simple to use. Just drop your reloaded round into the gauge, and you instantly know if it's good to go. It checks the size and makes sure everything is up to spec. It’s saved me a ton of time and hassle, especially when I’m working through a big batch of ammo. The build quality is top-notch, too. It feels sturdy and durable, like it’s going to last a long time, which is exactly what you want in a tool you’ll use a lot. Plus, it’s small enough to keep on my bench without taking up too much space. For my fellow reloaders, especially if you’re working with 6.5 Creedmoor, I can’t recommend the Lyman Ammo Checker enough. It’s a simple tool, but it does exactly what you need it to do, and it does it well. Checking my rounds has never been quicker or easier, and it’s given me extra peace of mind knowing that my ammo is as accurate and safe as possible. Definitely a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about reloading!

I used it and it works well. I loaded 50 rounds one round would not fit in the gage so I double checked it by chambering it in my Henry rifle it was very tight so I will not be using that round!!! With a 45-70 caliber it's extremely important to make sure that all rounds meet the SAMMI spec's.

I brought this to give me a tool for another level of inspection for serviceability. I am using this gauge to sort a very large quantity of surplus de-linked machine gun ammo I got for cheap plinking. This gauge helps me find flaws in the ammunition which would not be obvious to the naked eye...this quickly tells me if the round will chamber or not. Note the gauge will only show if the ammo is loaded correctly and if it is within factory specs for a properly headspaced gun. It will not check case length. Nor will it show a round that is under sized (over resized).

If you are going to reload, this is an essential tool. I thought I was getting very consistent results, but using this checker, I found that I had minor deficiencies in several of my rounds. Obviously, even a minor issue can be huge at a longer range, so this is a great first stop in checking all my rounds. I was hesitant about buying from the seller, after having been scammed on Grab-A-Gun, but this was a flawless transaction, and I recommend them highly.

This is essential for reloading and works well. I would recommend this to any reloader.
