As a Nepali, I approve of this rice. It's perfect for making any kind of South Asian food. It has extra-long grains, no odor, and if you just follow the cooking instructions, you'll be all set. Yum.

I asked the owner of my favorite Indian restaurant what rice they served as I just love it. They told me that it is Daawat basmati rice. I have cooked basmati in the past, but this rice is so much better. The taste and texture are amazing. I ordered the rice, and cooked some for dinner. The rice was easy to cook. I boiled 2 cups of water in a saucepan, added a cup of the rice, covered the pan and cooked it at low for 20 minutes. I then let it sit for 10 minutes. Perfection. It was fluffy and tasted amazing, just like the rice at the restaurant. I served the rice with a homemade curry. It was flavorful, and delicious. The rice comes in a mylar bag, so I made a small cut with a sissors in one corner, and poured about 2 pounds into a glass storage container. Using a hot iron, I resealed the bag in order to store the remainder longer term. I am so happy with this purchase, and will definitely buy it again when I use up the rice.

I consistently use Daawat Extra long grained, aged basmati rice! I like the bag that it comes in! I just snip the corner of one of the upper edges, pour what I need and use a clip to seal and store I like it for any dish that needs a non-sticky rice. I make Mexican, Spanish and Indian rice dishes with this rice! It's a great product! It browns well. I always set my rice on a 20 minute timer, so cook time is consistent with each basmati dish I make.
