LP includes one 140-gram vinylBritney Spears"&"rsquo; 5th studio album on black vinyl. Featuring the hits "&"ldquo;Gimme More"&"rdquo; and "&"ldquo;Piece Of Me"&"rdquo;. Review: One of Britney's best! - This is one of Britney's best albums! Every song is a gem and it still sounds great today! Review: Pleasantly Surprised! - I've only ever paid for one other Britney album in my life and that was her "B in the Mix" album where all her top songs were techno-ed out. I loved it because I mostly only listen to dance/club music. When I had heard some of the leaked songs off of her new album "Blackout", I thought that I might just have to shell out 10 bucks and support some good dance music. This album is nothing like anything she has done before and like most people are saying, it is a VERY WELL produced album. The beats, mixes, and vocals come together excellently and it makes every single song on this album listen-able. Some GREAT songs that I JUST CAN'T stop listening to are: 1. Gimme More- It's just flippin awesome! 2. Piece of Me- I love: "I'm Mrs. 'Oh My God that Britneys shameless'" 2. Break the Ice- I think this is my favorite! Beat is awesome, has that 'slave for you' panting lol 3. Get Naked- I could dance to this all night, produced by Danja (same as Gimme more) 4. Freakshow- HOTTTTT azz song! Encore! 5. Hot as Ice- This is a really cool song, its sound is unique and really fun!! One of my favvvvs. 6. Ooh Ooh Baby- Sexy track! Good sound and vocals! I really don't care to pay attention to Britney's personal life. I've honestly never really loved her or her music, although I did think she was an amazing dancer in the past and respected that. I just have to recognize good dance music when I hear it. If you like to dance/party/have fun, this album is for you. You really can just put this CD on and have a good time and let it play all the way through. I do have to wonder though, when Britney was going into the studio and laying down the vocals and listening to the finished tracks, how wasn't that enough to straighten her out? This is exciting stuff and I hope her next single and video are more like the Britney I hear on this CD!

Overly packaged and produced, but still a very fun album
While it is clear that Britney herself was only a small portion of the making of this CD, the beats, lyrics, and general tone are just what I'd expect from a Britney album - fun, light, and very catchy. You can hear that Britney's voice has been played with in the studio - it sounds like she came in, did a bit of singing, and left them to perfect the sound. But even with that, the album is a lot of fun to listen to and one that I have been enjoying a lot. I love dance beats and songs that make me want to sing along and move, and this CD is great on both of those. The best song is easily Gimme More, but the rest are all pretty good as well. Not a whole lot of character, but the songs are all catchy and there aren't any real losers in the bunch, which is more than I can say about most CDs I have bought! If you are a Britney fan, go ahead and get this latest from her - it isn't as good as B in the Mix or her other top CDs, but it will stick to your player for a good long time! Two months later: I wanted to add that this CD really has staying power. Most of the songs have really grown on me, and I have found that when I want to listen to something catchy and dancy, which is most days, I reach for this CD over other ones - even mix CD's of my own making! There is only one song I consistently skip past (track six) and the rest are pretty darn good. I have gotten most of the songs on the CD stuck in my head over the past months, and listened to it over sixty times, and I am still not tired of it. So overall I'd say this is a no-brainer purchase for those who like a fun dance beat.

It's Britney...and you know what that makes you!
I really thought that I would hate this album. I mean, this is Britney, and while she has a certain level of appeal, she's never been the most credible pop superstar. As far as Britney's career is concerned, she has always landed on her feat because production on her tracks are as slick as they come, and while peers like Christina Aguilera continually challenge their aesthetic and rely on their vocal range to draw in listeners, Britney has always lived by the motto that `if you give the people a bass heavy beat that makes them bob their head and grind up on the chick in front of them then they will come en-mass to buy your product'. That motto is a good one, since her vocal range is certainly limited. She needs hot hip-hop producers to created larger than life canvases for her serviceable talent. `Blackout' really doesn't disappoint; at all. Songs like `Freakshow' and `Get Naked' ooze with sex appeal and Britney purrs like a kitten ready to pounce. She understands that no one has forgotten her school girl outfit from the start of her career, and she amps it up with slick beats and lyrics that depict a sweaty seductress ready to please you anyway she can. She gets in perfect groove on `Radar', a song that may be the finest thing she's ever done. It's catchy and fun, flirtatious in all the `Toxic' kind of ways with texture that bursts at the seams. `Hot as Ice' has a real catchy old school vibe that sucks you in immediately. It is playful and plays to a different side of Britney's persona. Her whiney-esque vocals lend a nice tone to the track. Songs like `Toy Soldier' and `Ooh Ooh Baby' are aggressive and easily likable. `Break the Ice' is fun and explodes with syth background music that is memorable. `Perfect Lover' doesn't really `pop' but it haunts. It just has this something that lingers; maybe it's the way that Britney attacks it with a strange subtlety, and those verse lines are flawless. `Why Should I Be Sad' is the only real `balad-esque' type song on the album, and it kind of fails to be anything special. The two radio singles off this album (`Gimme More' and `Piece of Me') are fun, if not a tad overplayed. `Gimme More' is especially catchy, and that slinky downplayed beat is ridiculously awesome. I love that she points the finger at her own ridiculousness in `Piece of Me', but in the process she sheds light on what drives her to that side of crazy. The greatest thing about `Heaven on Earth' is that it is so 80's Euro-Pop and it works like MAGIC! So, in the end; this album kind of nails it. I thought that it would be terrible, but yet again I find that Britney defies common sense and delivers yet another top-notch pop album that doesn't break any new ground or become anything truly profound but remains wholly listenable and completely likable from start to finish. My personal ranking; for those of you interested: 1) Radar 2) Freakshow 3) Hot as Ice 4) Heaven on Earth 5) Perfect Lover 6) Break the Ice 7) Get Naked 8) Ooh Ooh Baby 9) Gimme More 10) Piece of Me 11) Toy Soldier 12) Why Should I Be Sad

One of my fave Britney albums!! I’m so glad I was able to find a copy of it on Amazon as no store in person stocked it!! Arrived in great quality, perfect condition. And played beautifully. If you want a bit of a Britney throwback, highly recommend buying this! One of her best albums.
