Hot Sock Diffuser

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This thing is fantastic! As others have said, I bought this for easy travel, and it does work on hotel dryers. However, it also works WAY better than my plastic spikey diffuser, better curls, less pokes in the head, less space in the drawer. Have used it every day for over a year and it’s in perfect shape. And it’s not even expensive!

functional, perfect fit for hair dryer, It always gives me the style to my hair I want. I have used a diffuser for years this is the best in my opinion. Great for travel.

I first bought it as a replacement for a travel diffuser as those take too much space in the suitcases, especially when you are trying to travel with just a carry on. Most hotels have a hair dryer but not diffuser attachments so I decided to see if I could use this to dry my curly wavy hair when I travel. As with most things, there is a bit of a learning curve involved if you are used to a bowl diffuser attachment. However, once you figure that out, it’s an amazing tool. Pros: 1. Travels light, easy to pack, saves space. 2. Fits on most hotel hair dryers. 3. Doesn’t slip or fall off. 4. Doesn’t get too hot to the touch. 5. Dries hair quickly and without any damage. Cons: 1. Won’t give tight curls. Curls are looser and wavier than what you get with a bowl diffuser attachment. I have found that the best way to use it is for me to tip my head upside down and just hover diffuse with this attachment on medium heat and medium speed. That gives me the best results without staticky or frizzy hair (ordinarily I can get away with low to medium heat and high speed when using a bowl disuser attachment, but with this sock high speed blows the hair a bit too much for my liking). Try not to let this touch your hair when you are drying as it will break up the curls and make them more frizzy. Just hover close and dry. Easy peasy.

I know not everyone seems to love this sock diffuser, but for me it has been a complete game changer for traveling. I love it so much I bought an extra one in case anything happens to the first. For 10 years of business travel, I would just let my hair air dry and prayed it worked out. As I've grown older, I care a little more about being put together, so I don't want to leave my hair styling completely to the angels. I tried this and I love it! I actually love it more than my regular diffuser, but I only use it for travel. It is easy to stuff anywhere in a suitcase, and while I can see it would pop off if left to it's own devices for many hair dryer designs, I just hold it kind of close to its elastic area while I dry. I flip my hair upside down to use it, because it can kind of catch the hair and tug which I imagine contributes to frizz. I use a climate control gel and strong hold hairspray and I feel that helps. Drying happens quickly, and I can go about my day looking like a star. Photo attached for display of curl texture in case it helps anyone!

This item works like a diffuser... it does what it is supposed to do. However, based on the reviews I was halfway expecting a miracle from this product only to be a little disappointed due to the fact that this product made my hair very frizzy. The reason I purchased this item was because I bought a new hair dryer that didn't come with an attachment for a diffuser so I figured I would purchase this as a universal diffuser that would fit my new hair blow dryer. I use my hair blow dryer on Low with the 'hot sock' to diffuse my curly hair but the 'hot sock' kept falling off of the dryer so now I have to hold the sock on the dryer with my thumb whenever I diffuse my hair. Not only does the 'hot sock' not stay on my dryer but most importantly it makes my hair frizzy. I'm not sure if its the fabric of the 'hot sock' or the texture of it that does it, but this item was a real let down in comparison to all of its 'rave-reviews'. Just a note, that this may not work for everyone. It's so cheap though... might as well try it for yourself.

I have wavy hair that loses curl when I blow dry it. I have to use a diffuser to keep any semblance of waves in my hair. I have a big hard plastic one but it's bulky and doesn't fit one of my two hair dryers. I saw this Hot Sock Diffuser and decided to try it. It works well. It just slips over the nozzle of any hair dryer and diffuses the air. The one thing I did notice is that the diffuser sometimes slides off the nozzle. It has an elastic opening that is pretty wide. But, in general, it works to diffuse the air and to keep my waves intact. It first all my hair dryers and is cheap. It's also very easy to travel with as compared to the hard plastic one I was using.

I really like this product. It's a bit of a rip-off price for what is basically a piece of foam fabric but it cuts down the frizz on my curly hair to virtually nil. BUT you have to watch how you use it as your hair can stick to the foam so I find the trick is to gently place it in the hair, keep it perfectly still whilst drying that bit, then gently remove and repeat in another section. I can see how people could end up with a frizzy mess if they 'waggle' the sock around in their hair in order to speed up drying time as the hair would stick to the foam. I've used it on two different hairdryers so far and it's fitted okay - one was a wide nozzle and the other a narrow nozzle. If you needed to fit it to a very narrow nozzle I would just secure it with a band. Good for travelling as not bulky like a conventional diffuser

Nada, absolutamente nada ...eso fue lo q obtuve de ese mal llamado difusor!! Además me costó tiempo y dinero se considero el tiempo que espere pacientemente que llegara y después los trámites de devolución.
