Mixed Chicks Gentle Clarifying Shampoo, 10 fl. oz.

This the best shampoo I’ve used on my hair. If you have high porosity hair and struggle with a balance of clean but healthy try this. It doesn’t leave the hair dry like a typical clarifying shampoo, I was my hair 1x a week and it cleans my hair with only 1-2 rounds compared to another shampoo I used that I had to wash 4-5 rounds.

I really like this shampoo I have been looking for the right shampoo for my Daughter's and little sister's hair type for a while now and I think I found it, it leaves her hair nice and soft no frizz or dryness her curls really do look and feels healthy. She has had many comments and compliments. now the best part Very little on your palm goes a long way on your hair. This is almost a concentrated texture shampoo, it rinses out all impurities in her hair. it's hard to rate this product on its own because I've never used it alone in my daughter's hair. I've always used the Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner with it. I would recommend always using the Deep. Conditioner when using this product because the shampoo cleans so thouroughly that you will need to condition it afterwards. This clarifying shampoo is a game changer. I was starting to get build up from other products I was using and my other shampoo was not doing the job. I used mixed chicks and it made a big difference. I could feel and see how clean my hair got after using this! And the leave-in conditioner is great too.

We were given a bottle of this after hurricane Sandy. I was pleased because it was a brand we had wanted to try but didn't care for the price. I have three daughters who are mixed white (Irish, German, French Canadian, English, Pollish, mostly just downright western American) and black Jamaican. Mixed feelings at first. I found it made the girls hair coarse and seemed to knot quicker. Then I changed my approach. Hair gets brushed before washing. We use a small amount of this and pull it through head instead of rubbing it into scalp, this prevents knots. We use our regular conditioner as usual. The end result is a stronger definition and softer curl in the girls hear then with a different shampoo but same conditioner. Also. With four people using the shampoo it has lasted a year for this small bottle. Well worth the money. I am switching to a different shampoo for one or two of our three shampoos a week (that's what works best with my girls hair), mostly for ease and because I consider this more a deep cleaner then a daily cleaner. Very much enjoy the shampoo. Considering trying the sulfate free version or the children's version. Did buy this when we ran out of what was given to us.

First shampoo to help control fly aways and dryness for my daughters hair

I am a mixed chick. After using this product, I am much more clear of my identity.

Hair feels SO clean after washing with this. I have thick curly hair and my biracial daughter has coily curls. We both double cleanse once a week with this before conditioning and adding products. I love how clean and light our hair feels after washing without feeling dry. (Pic is on day 3 during a drizzly humid day at the zoo.)

It does what it says

My daughter has a lot of hair, I mean like a lot! And it’s extremely thick 4c hair down to her waist. I have been looking for an effective but gentle cleaning shampoo and have struggled to find one to get the product and added oil buildup out. This is a very good cleansing shampoo. It stripped all the buildup out of my daughters hair. I will continue to use this every 6 weeks or so as not disturb the natural healthy oils in her hair too much. Good product, works well.

I have 2c-3a curly hair and it's very prone to build up. I've previously used the shea moisture low porosity shampoo and was devastated when it was discontinued! This shampoo is fantastic. It's removed the build up and left my hair feeling lighter again. Highly recommend for those with low porosity hair.
