I could take Exlax or Ducolax (double the recommended dose) and in 8 - 15 hours I would start having the above symptoms and then eventually go the bathroom. I ended up trying the Swiss Kriss just to cross it off the list. I honestly didn't think an herbal remedy would work. I took one when I got it and within the hour I had gone to the bathroom, completely. Thought it might be a fluke, in a few days, after not going to the bathroom, I took another one, same result. Now, the day I start taking the pain medicine, I take a Swiss Kriss early in the evening. Within 1 -2 hours, sometimes, faster, I'll go to the bathroom. There is no pain, there is no pressure, I just suddenly need to go. I usually don't need to run back into the bathroom later either (some laxatives cause such bad diarrhea that you keep going for a while).
