My only issue in the beginning is they do soften up throughout the night and were difficult to remove in the morning but I quickly figured out by reading the pamphlet that if I gently push up on my earlobe it helps to dislodge them enough that I can grab them and pull them out. The directions say NOT to shape them into cones but I do anyway because they block more noise that way and stay in better. Also, I find if I open my mouth wide while putting them in they work better and stay more secure during the night. I do that with earplugs I use when flying to help regulate ear pressure. I keep them in a plastic case next to my bed and I've been using the same ones now for at least a month without having to replace them. Do they look brand new? No Is there some earwax on them? Yes but it's my earwax so who cares! Side note* My husband doesn't love them because he says he can hear his heartbeat and it freaks him out but I don't find that at all. I can hear myself breathing but I actually find it soothing. I'll definitely be ordering these again when I need more unless I move to the countryside. LOL ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Silence is Golden *by M***S on December 22, 2011* Neat product that works very well. Pink wax nodules are perfect size for ears. Wax responds to your body temp and creates perfect seal. I was skeptical when I purchased these. The foam earplugs have never worked for me, they always fall out. I used Mack's Pillow Soft Silicone Earplugs, Value Pack, 6 pr for a long time, however I never felt comfortable with them in and they would frequently break seal and fall out of my ears at night. So I was willing to try something new and user reviews seemed hopeful. These are more expensive, but they work. No earplug will ever completely block all noise, however these do the best job of reducing noise that I've encountered thus far. I find them tremendously more comfortable than the foam inserts or the silicone Macks. Additionally these are made from all natural wax, not foam or silicone. Currently priced at $9.95 (at the time of this review) there are 12 earplugs, which makes for 6 pairs, making each pair cost $1.66. These are re-usable for approximately 10 days, after which they become less stable, i.e. begin to fall out and/or break seal. Another reviewer noted that when they turn pinkish-white its time to replace them, and that was a spot on observance. I've noticed some reviews complain about the waxy residue. There is one in the morning, when you wake up the plug will be very soft from your body temperature and after removal it will leave some liquid wax residue on your hands. It doesn't bug me personally, but some people are sensitive to different tactile sensations. So value and time wise this product costs 16 cents per night of peaceful sleep, and total package will last you two months.
